Hi there, josh11.
If you encounter "disable pop-up blockers" message while trying to print checks, then this is an on going issue. As a workaround you can print checks through an internet browser with pop-up blocker disabled like Google Chrome, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox.
However, if you don't encounter this message you can update Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Let me know if you need more help.
I also am having problems with check printing. I have been using the same alignment and checks since July and now they don't print correctly. If I line-up the payee and dollar amount, the name/address and stub info is printing too high. The first line on the stub is printing on the perf. It needs to move down around 2 lines.
Thank you for joining the thread, jodil17.
This must be a challenging experience for you. But I'm here to ensure that you'll be able to align your checks correctly.
For the stub info that was printing too high, you'll need to choose a letter further down the list to move the information down the page. You can enter a letter from M to X to move the paycheck information down enough to align with your check.
If the check is still not aligned, you'll need to update, repair, or re-install Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
Feel free to post again or comment below if you have any other concerns.
I don't understand what you are talking about. I am in quickbooks on-line --- the fine-tune alignment screen has nothing about letters only "Drag the Grid".
Thank you for getting back to us, @jodil17!
The above-mentioned steps are for the alignment in printing your paycheck.
Allow me to help you correct the printing alignment of your regular checks.
After you have adjusted the grid, changes made should take effect in most printer settings then you can print the check. You'll also have to take note of the following:
I've found a handy article you can read to learn more about other methods in printing your check: How to Print Checks?
If the issue persists, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Support. They have tools to help you more in printing your check.
Let us know how it works. We're always here to help.
You did not answer either of my questions:
1. Original question: How to adjust the address portion of the check without affecting the payee and amount?
2. Question to reply: Where/how do you get to M or .... which was the reply from support for my first question.
I have adjusted the grid, verify my print settings and now have the payee/amount printing on the check correctly but the rest needs to be moved down.

Did you find an answer to this? I am having the same exact problem and was on the phone with someone from QB who never was able to find the answer. After talking with him 45 minutes, he conveniently disconnected the line. My checks are perfectly aligned but the print on the stubs is so high that I have to cut the bottom stub off so I have all the info I need.
Hello there, @RGC20.
As of now, there's an investigation where some users are having difficulty to print checks in their QuickBooks Online (QBO). Rest assured, our engineering team is all hands to fix this as soon as possible.
For now, I recommend getting in touch with our support team. That way, you'll be added to the list of affected users and be notified via email of any updates.
To reach them, you can refer to the steps provided by colleague JonpriL above.
Also, I'm adding this article for reference in case you need to merge customers and vendors in your QBO: How to merge accounts, customers, and vendors.
We thank you for your patience while we're working to fix this. Should you have other concerns with your QBO account, don't hesitate to leave a comment below. We're always here to help.
I, too, am having a problem printing payroll checks. Printing regular checks are perfectly fine. However, whenever I print a payroll check it prints too high. This seems very odd. It should use the exact same parameters when printing a regular check and a payroll check. I will contact customer support on Tuesday. I'm glad and sorry to see I'm not the only one with check printing issues.
My text is also way too high, despite using different browsers, printing from Preview, realigning using QBO print troubleshooting, resetting my printer, etc. I end up having to just print the check, and then go HAND RE WRITE where the text should be because the text is so high, you cannot tell that it has been printed. The dollar amount is up near the date portion of my check, and all other fields look blank. It is so infuriating!!! I have an Epson ET-3750.
We'll check to see why your checks aren't aligned despite the things you've done, caitlincards.
There's one more step that we can add to this. If you haven't, try updating your Adobe Reade and try printing again. If the same thing happens, please reach out to our Support. They can use a screen-sharing tool to see your setup and take screenshots for documentation purposes.
Let me know if you have other concerns about printing checks.
I am having a similar issue. Switched to QBO in Dec 2019. Purchased new check printer and new style checks at that time. After performing the initial set-up of my checks successfully, have printed without issue for 6 months. Have made no changes to printer, or program, but suddently checks started printing too low on page (amount block is printing on signature line). Have completed all trouble shooting tips and verified all settings. Have tried printing from browser, from Adobe, have updated Adobe program, have disconnected and reconnected printer, logged in and out, and have tried any other QBO and Adobe magic tricks I could find ... but nothing is working. I now have to print all checks to blank paper ( so that they record in QBO) and hand write my actual checks ( not a susatinable work around). Please help!
Thank you for sharing the steps you've taken, @Noonesmajic,
Since you still have the same issue even after performing all those steps, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. They can pull up you're account, securely, and create a case or ticket ID to be submitted to our engineers for further investigation about this unexpected behavior.
In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about our support hours and types: Support hours and types.
Lastly, I've got you these helpful articles you can read for ideas about how you can manage your vendors and expense transactions: Income and Expenses for QuickBooks Online.

Any luck? There is no way to contact any life person for help.
Did this ever get resolved. I have a client who is having the same issues and I'd like to inform her as to how to fix
I can provide the status of the issue when printing checks, PadgettPamela.
Our Product Team has already fixed this and found out that a pop-up blocker is a cause why checks suddenly stopped printing properly.
QuickBooks Online uses pop-up windows to perform many tasks.
Occasionally, certain updates will reset default settings to a pop-up blocker on your browser. To disable pop-up blockers, follow:
If this does not resolve the issue, add Intuit as a Trusted Site. You can also check out our Browser Health Checkup tool to see if we can detect any potential issues with your browser.
Also, if you're using your own checks to print, they need to be formatted for QuickBooks. You can order QuickBooks compatible checks from Intuit to ensure compatibility of the alignment.
On the other hand, you can send this link to your client: Fix print alignment for preprinted checks. It provides instructions and detailed steps.
If the same issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Team. They can create a new case and send it to our Product Team for further investigation.
Let me know if there's anything else you need with QuickBooks. I'm always right here to help you.
I am using Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2021 and am having same the same problem all of a sudden with bill pay checks. I have been using the same alignment and checks since Jan and now they don't align correctly. If I line-up the payee and dollar amount using the Fine Alignment, the stub info is printing too high and on the perforation. The only thing that has changed is that I did get a new computer, but I wouldn't think that would affect the printing; I'm using same the printer. I've made sure I'm running the latest Adobe software. Any suggestions on how to fix?
Hi there, @RockSolid2022.
Thanks for taking the time to follow along with the thread. I hope you're enjoying the day so far.
Since you've not made any changes to the alignment or printer, but you have started using another computer, let's go through some basic troubleshooting steps for printing.
First, let's use the PDF print repair tool in the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Here's how:
Once you've ran the repair tool, let's try printing a check again.
If you're continuing to have issues, let's use the Alignment Grid to adjust the horizontal/vertical settings and make fine adjustments to the position of printed text on your checks. Please note that you'll have to select Voucher (8 1/2" x 11") as the check style to ensure that the check will align with the envelope. Here's how you can do it:
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'm always here to lend a helping hand. Take care!
That did the trick! My checks are now in proper alignment again. I actually tried running the Tool Hub a few days ago and it didn't fix the problem, but I may not have used the most recent version. I used the link you provided, and now all is good. Thank you!
