This resolved my print issue EXCEPT, when I try to align and print a sample QBDT 2019 will still have an unrecoverable error and shut down. To work around I could still print on plain paper and align them that way. However I did get lucky and they were aligned properly the first time.
Thanks for reaching out to us, @MQOH.

I was able to print my 1099's but on the 3 person form, only the first contractor printed in line, the other 2 were off lines so bad I can't use them. I am trying to find out how to adjust. Help.

Thank you for this post. I went to my old Windows 10 lap top. Was able to print the 1099 NEC 3 on a page with just a small tweak in the horizontal alignment.
Very grateful for your post. I spent hours on the phone with a QuickBooks printer expert. It did not help.
It's great to hear that, TBJ59.
You're doing an excellent job. I appreciate you taking the time to change the alignment, and I'm delighted to know that you've successfully print the form 1099 NEC without issue.
If you need further assistance in the future, don't hesitate to post again here in the Community. We're always ready to help you.
Excellent job in only reading through all the posts to find a fix for this horrible problem. Luckily, I had access to a laptop running Windows 10, otherwise I would have had a nightmare as the other QB users.
I implore the Intuit/QuickBooks engineers to get a patch quickly. This is such a time crunch time of year. Having this alignment problem for users running Windows 11 is unacceptable for QuickBooks.
Respectfully, Teresa J
Same problem: I get the middle one to align and the top and bottom won't. Seems like a racket from Intuit so we have to buy THEIR forms. Pretty crappy considering I didn't know this was a problem and now don't have time to wait for Intuit's forms to be shipped to me. Shame on you, Intuit. Now I'm quite literally cutting and taping the forms and using my copier to align them correctly. Thank God I only have seven 1099s to send; I pity the folks with 200+.
Your sentiment is very much understandable, LoveHatethissoftware.
I'd like to give some details on the 1099-NEC alignment and how you can tune and print it properly.
The alignment applies to the new and current 1099-NEC form in QuickBooks Desktop. If you're having issues with the alignment, you would want to tweak the printing settings and ensure they print properly.
Here's how:
If there are any formatting changes to the 1099-NEC or any payroll forms, our Payroll Compliance team will work on the implementation and roll out an update. This ensures that you're able to print the forms correctly and file them without any issues.
References about printing and aligning your 1099 forms can be found here:
However, If the same things happen, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They have the tools to further look into the account and create a case to be submitted to our escalation team for further investigation.
Here's how to reach out to them:

There are 3 forms per page, covering 3 separate vendors that I have paid. The spacing BETWEEN THE 3 is WRONG. IE if I get one to align perfectly, the other two do NOT. The "align" option applies to ALL 3 PER PAGE, so yes, I can move the ENTIRE page up or down, or left or right, but I cannot move the individual vendor's info up or down. LAME AF
not able to use this on my chromebook

I've had the same issue for 2 days. First error was unable to fetch data, so I went through all the steps to correct. Now QB states no W2s to print/file. This isn't rocket science, clearly there is a system issue affecting multiple errors that is not being addressed.
