It would be nice if it worked that way. I did what you described, then got charged again the following month. I'm ten minutes into a phone call trying to get their fraudulent charge reversed. The front line support person can't do it. I'm waiting on a manager to review the case now while I wait. Unfortunately, the folks who are potential customers may not see this feedback, but I thought it was worth sharing so folks who are having problems canceling know it's not them. It's Intuit. I'll give it a few more minutes on hold, then bail and just dispute this and all future charges from them with my credit card company.

1. Go to the Gear icon and choose Account and Settings.
2. Select Billing and subscription.
3. In the QuickBooks section, tap Cancel subscription.
4. Select Continue to cancel, then Continue to cancel again.
5. Enter the reason for the cancellation.
6. Choose Submit and cancel subscription.
After that, you will receive an email that confirms your account was successfully canceled.

Another way to cancel your account is by reaching out to QuickBooks Care Support. They can help you cancel the subscription for you.
Here's how:
1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
2. Select Contact Us.
