Thanks for reaching out to the Community, @Sound Speeds.

 

If you're referring to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription, please refer to these steps on how to cancel it:

 

  1. In QBO, go to the Gear icon at the top right to get to the Account and Settings.
  2. Click the Billing and subscription tab at the left pane.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, tick Cancel subscription.
  4. Select Continue to cancel, then Continue to cancel again.
  5. Enter the reason for the cancellation.
  6. Choose Submit and cancel subscription.
  7. Hit Got it.

 

After that, you'll receive an email that confirms your account was successfully canceled.

I am going to stop payment on this account because I have tried over and over to cancel and cant get any help.

I can provide the steps on how to cancel your QuickBooks subscription, Cindybragg1977.

 

You need to log into your QuickBooks Online account and follow these steps to cancel the plan:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an admin user.
  2. Select Settings ⚙ and then Account and settings.
  3. Go to the Billing & Subscription tab.
  4. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online. If you're canceling a trial, select Cancel trial.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps.
  6. Once done, you'll receive an email confirmation the cancelation process.

If you use QuickBooks Online Payments, you need to cancel your Payments account separately. Follow the steps to close your Payments account.

 

For your Desktop subscription, here are the steps:

 

  1. Log into your CAMPs account.
    If you’re unsure about your account.
  2. Select the QuickBooks Desktop Account you want to modify.
    If you have more than one, your login profile will show you which one is currently selected.
  3. In the Products & Services area, find your subscription or service, then select Details
  4. Verify this is the product or service you no longer need, then select Cancel Service under the active
  5. Please let us know why you are leaving so we can improve our services. After providing any details (optional), select Continue to cancel.
  6. Confirm your cancelation by clicking Cancel Now.
  7. You'll see a confirmation message as well as receive an email.  

If your subscription includes payroll, please follow these steps to cancel your payroll subscription.

 

If you’re within the 60-day money back guarantee period and your product was purchased directly from Intuit, you’ll automatically receive a refund for the full purchase price of your subscription.

 

If applicable, you'll receive your refund within two weeks. Please see QuickBooks Desktop cancelation policies for more information.

Here's how:

  1. Click the (?) Help icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Dashboard.
  2. Select Talk to a Human.
  3. Enter a short description of your concern and press Enter.
  4. Click I still need a human.
  5. Select Contact Us to connect with our live support.
  6. Choose Get a callback.

Know that QBO will hold on to your data up to one year. I'd suggest saving all of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) data by exporting the information. This way, it can be saved, stored, and transferred digitally if needed. You can also pick up where you left off if you decide to come back. It would be nice if it worked that way.  I did what you described, then got charged again the following month.  I'm ten minutes into a phone call trying to get their fraudulent charge reversed.  The front line support person can't do it.  I'm waiting on a manager to review the case now while I wait.  Unfortunately, the folks who are potential customers may not see this feedback, but I thought it was worth sharing so folks who are having problems canceling know it's not them.   It's Intuit.  I'll give it a few more minutes on hold, then bail and just dispute this and all future charges from them with my credit card company.

It's sad to know that you're canceling your Intuit account, but I'm here to make the process easy for you, Ldavi36.

 

If you're trying to cancel your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription, we can do it from the Billing & Subscription page. From the cancellation date, your company data will be available in read-only access for one year. You can also export your reports to Excel or print them for your future use. Here's how to cancel your QBO subscription:

  1. Go to the Gear icon on the top menu.
  2. Choose Account and Settings.
  3. Click on Billing and subscription at the left pane.
  4. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
  5. Tick the Continue to cancel option, then tap the Continue to cancel button (if it shows on your screen).
  6. Follow the next steps.
  7. Press Submit and cancel subscription.
  8. Hit Got it.

 

Once completed, you'll receive an email notification that confirms the cancellation process. For more details about this one, check out the Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial article. If you need to cancel your QuickBooks Payments subscription, just do it from the Merchant Service Center. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center as an admin user.
  2. Tap the Account tab and then Account Profile.
  3. Choose Close Account. If you don't see this option, make sure you're signed in as the account admin. If you still have problems, reach out to our support team.
  4. In the Reason for closing dropdown, select a reason,  and add any comments you'd like to share.
  5. When you're ready, press Submit.

Once we process your request, you'll get an email within one business day that confirms your QuickBooks Payments account is closed. Thanks for joining in on this thread. I can show you where the Accounts and Settings option is in your QuickBooks Online account. 

 

After clicking the Gear (Settings) icon in the top right-hand corner, you'll find the Account and settings option under the "Your Company" column. Here's a visual to help you out:
