Updating passwords can be frustrating but don’t worry, I’m here to help. If you registered your QuickBooks product there are a couple of options to retrieve your license number. You can have it emailed to you, or, you can sign in to your CAMPs (Customer Account Management Portal) Here is the link with the option for either: Locate your license or product number.

Hi Monica — when I use F2, nothing happens. My 2018 product is an upgrade from my 2015 product. Can I update from there? The product key isn't working. Thank you.

The other way of finding your QuickBooks license number is by going to the Company tab. I'll show you how.
1. Click the Company tab.
2. Select My Company from the dropdown menu.
3. On the right side under Manage Your Account. You'll see your license number along with the product key.
Also, you'll have the option to upgrade inside QBDT. Let me guide you.
Here's how:
1. Click the Help tab.
2. Select Upgrade to Latest QuickBooks.
3. It will open a browser and then choose the product and hit Buy now button.
4. Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the process.
Additionally, create a backup of your company file before upgrading your QuickBooks software. This way, you'll have a file to look back in case you override it during the new installation.

There is no Product Number in the Products and Services list... Only a license number...

It's quite strange that you don't see your product number in CAMPs. It should be in there, like in the screenshot below.
If you can't really find it, please contact our Support team so they'll be able to check this information in the system. They can also provide you with an activation code in the absence of the product number. You can call their phone number in this article: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.

Why do you need to know this information? If you buy a one-time license, it will not expire.

Ideally, If you want to purchase a one-time license in QuickBooks Desktop, you can continue to use the software as long as you like. However, be aware that support for your product will end three years after its release. Also, when you purchase a license, you'll need to install the QuickBooks desktop either on your computer or mobile phone so that you can input the details of your QuickBooks license number and a product number.
