These responses from the Quickbooks team are a joke. Disregard the entire response since it's useless. Let me help you since they can't seem to understand what so many are asking.
That feature is not available yet. It's confusing as some pages make it seem like it's available now while others don't even mention it. A previous poster found this on their blog.
Mobile Check Deposit: Mobile check deposit gives small businesses the ability to accept checks from customers or vendors and deposit those funds into their account seamlessly.
Mobile check deposit will begin rolling out to eligible QuickBooks Checking customers in the coming weeks.
Thanks DP77!!!... that was the answer i needed. Arbordave
Thank you for the answer because we all know the QB team is not able to offer any helpful support about the gaps in their product.
Thanks for the update, yet it is almost two months later...Very soon? Is that like how my kids think someone 35 is very old? I think people would be less inclined to be frustrated if we could just get an authentic answer. Something like, "yes, we know this is important and we are working on it. May not be available until the end of 2022, thanks for bearing with us." That's something we can all swallow and without the associated resentments that seem to build in these long answeres that that are very wordy, don't address the issue really and seem don't carry authenticiy. Just saying, that's one customer's perspective. Thank you.
Have you tried this with success?
Do you have a workaround for sending a paper check?
Hello there, @mattp42-bellsout. Let me share some insights about depositing a physical check to your QuickBooks cash account.
The only method to get money into your QuickBooks Cash account is to make a bank deposit. After that, deposit it into your Cash account. You may need to link an account you already have for internet banking to QuickBooks Cash a second time.
Here's how:
QuickBooks will make two small deposits to the account within three days. Return to QuickBooks to double-check the transactions after receiving the confirmation email.
Once done, you can transfer your money into your Cash account.

9Mobile check deposit: Offering coming soon. Limited availability.
We don’t have any other bank for our business. We signed up for the quickbooks account because we thought it would service all our needs. And we NEED to be able to deposit physical paper checks. Please tell me this option has been added or will be added very soon. I would hate to have wasted time and money on Quickbooks for nothing. 99% of our business is commercial real estate companies. Which means paper checks from 99% of our clients.
Yes the mobile deposit is here but there is a limit so it will not work with most Real Estate business'
Do u take a screen shot of them ? I get paid by customers with checks.
So to deposit physical checks in QuickBooks what you have to do is , go to your merchant Intuit account, which is attached to your QuickBooks online account, from the home page look at the bottom right box that says ( processing tools) click on check transactions and the box for you to fill in the check information will pop up, and click the (I have signed authorization) box , because having a signed physical check written out to your company is a signed authorization document. E-check fee's do apply
Hope this helps anyone
I do not see the option to deposit a paper check. I have set up QB Checking. Is there a lagtime between the approved QB Checking setup / approval, and the paper check deposit option becoming available to me?
Bill
Thanks for joining here, Bill. I've gathered information about your concern.
The option to deposit paper checks is immediately available after approval.
Currently, there is an ongoing investigation about unable to see the deposit check and transfer funds. I understand that this needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Our engineers are investigating this issue. Rest assured, we will provide an update once information is available.
While our engineers are looking into this, I recommend contacting our Support Team to add your company details as one of the affected users. Here's how:
I've gathered some articles where we can get details about QB checking:

I'm confused. Within the Quickbooks App or Quickbooks online, where can you navigate to deposit a paper check? Most every major bank in the U.S. has an app that allows you to take images of the front and back of the paper check and make a deposit. I have been asking for YEARS for this feature in Quickbooks checking account. The only advice ever given is to transfer from another bank, which ironically offers the paper check deposit via its app! The idea is to ditch the other bank and just have the Quickbooks checking account. Yet the friendly Quickbooks techs always remind us, you can deposit to another bank and THEN transfer to Quickbooks. Redundancy at it's finest.
This is what I am hanging my hat on. Posted by QB Help 3/29/22. See the link.
"Use mobile check deposit to deposit your checks remotely anytime and anywhere you are. Here’s what you need to know."
Yet, as of today, it still doesn't work. I was told today that they are experiencing some technical difficulties, and it's being worked on...
I am still having the same issue, unable to deposit paper checks.
Please provide and update.
Bill
Hello there, @bill92.
Thank you for taking the time to post here in the Community about the unusual results when navigating QuickBooks. I would also feel the same about the problem and the suggested resolution to see the deposit check and transfer funds.
If you're using the recommended system and continue having issues, it would be best to contact our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, you can raise a further investigation if necessary to get you back on track.

Does Quickbooks allow this method of entering the check routing/acct # into the ACH field of the invoice? Are there any downsides to doing it this way?
Hello, @GoToGuy.
Thank you for chiming in on this thread. I'm here to assist you with any QuickBooks concerns, but I need more information to help me get on the same page.
Would you mind telling me if you're using QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Merchants Services? This way, I'll be able to provide a solution that fits your needs.
However, if you're referring to adding check routing or account number to your invoice in QuickBooks Online, we can utilize the Custom fields feature in the QBO Advanced version or the Notes field in the other versions.
To create a custom field, I'll show you how:
Otherwise, you can utilize the notes field of your invoices. Please see the sample screenshot below for reference:
You can read through these articles to learn more about how you can use them in the future:
I'm always ready to assist you if you have questions or concerns about managing your invoices. Tag me in your reply, and I'll sprint back into action. Have a good one, and keep safe.
As of today 2/28/23, after signing up for QB Checking last week since we wanted the Mobile Deposit Feature, I find out that eligibility is vaguely defined but apparently I have to use QB Checking before I can get Mobile Deposit, but I'm not really wanting to have to transfer from other bank accounts just to "use QB Checking". I'd use QB Checking primarily by receiving funds via mobile deposit. Pretty comical, and disappointing. If the feature is not easily accessed without jumping through hoops, then Mobile Deposit should not be used as a prominent "selling point". Considering closing the QB Checking Account out at this point.

If I do decide to try linking another account to QB Checking, exactly how many transactions do I need to do before I can access Mobile Deposit? Or exactly how do I trigger getting access to this feature?
After 1 1/2 years I was able to deposit a physical check into QB checking, phew.
Only to learn that it was fruitless, and no help to me because there is a limit of $5000 per deposit. Most of my deposits exceed that amount.
Time to give up, and quit QB Checking.
I am disappointed.

Total joke. Sounds like it's best to just close the account now and be done with it. Thx for the insight.
