I can still offer my help if you have questions with QuickBooks Online or your payroll service. Just leave them in the reply section below and I'll be there for you.
I followed your instructions. I still don’t understand what happens with the physical paper check I’m trying to deposit to my new QB Checking account. Shouldn’t I have to take a pic of it or mail it somewhere for the funds to be captured? I would think QBs would need the routing number and acct number from the check.
As of today 2/28/23, after signing up for QB Checking last week since we wanted the Mobile Deposit Feature, I find out that eligibility is vaguely defined but apparently I have to use QB Checking before I can get Mobile Deposit, but I'm not really wanting to have to transfer from other bank accounts just to "use QB Checking". I'd use QB Checking primarily by receiving funds via mobile deposit. Pretty comical, and disappointing. If the feature is not easily accessed without jumping through hoops, then Mobile Deposit should not be used as a prominent "selling point".
Considering closing the QB Checking Account out at this point.
If I do decide to try linking another account to QB Checking, exactly how many transactions do I need to do before I can access Mobile Deposit? Or exactly how do I trigger getting access to this feature?
After 1 1/2 years I was able to deposit a physical check into QB checking, phew.
Only to learn that it was fruitless, and no help to me because there is a limit of $5000 per deposit. Most of my deposits exceed that amount.
Hey Quickbooks Cash Product Team - I'd like to use the Quickbooks Cash bank account and close my other bank accounts, but not being able to make mobile deposits for physical checks is a deal-breaker.
This is the first banking service I have run into that doesn't offer mobile check deposit capability which has been standard for many years. Please add this as a high priority to your feature list.
This is just another reason why I feel Quickbooks is anything but that.
QuickBooks Why am I being forced to use a different account to make cash and check deposits. I had to jump through hoops this week to make a deposit. I had to deposit a check to my other corporate bank I was glad I had not closed. Then I withdrew cash thinking I could deposit at the Allpoint ATM. That was not the case. Even though Allpoint accepts deposits, the quickbooks account is restricted and will not allow me to make a deposit. Then I called and the person that answered from India told me to go to any bank and make a deposit. (I don't believe that advice is correct) I was skeptical and so I asked if there any other way. He said you can reload your card at any CVS or Walmart. I went to CVS to reload $1000. The lady said the limit is $500 but yes you can do that. Being fed up and wasting too much of my time I did the reload. It ended up costing me $4.95 for each cash reload, nearly $10
To sum things up. I am dissapointed that a company such as Intuit can't use a better service than Greendot to offer a bank account.
I am an accountant and up to now love all your services. This service is great while you receive electronic payments. The deposit services that are lacking almost makes it so tedious that I am not going to talk my clients into using your bank services.
Choose a better service than Greendot prepaid cards. There are many services out there that are much better than that.
Wow. This is ridiculous that Quickbooks can't deposit a check into a BANK ACCOUNT! This is seriously the only reason I switched to Quickbooks. I guess it's time to cancel.

We don’t have any other bank for our business. We signed up for the quickbooks account because we thought it would service all our needs. And we NEED to be able to deposit physical paper checks. Please tell me this option has been added or will be added very soon. I would hate to have wasted time and money on Quickbooks for nothing. 99% of our business is commercial real estate companies. Which means paper checks from 99% of our clients.
I do not see the option to deposit a paper check. I have set up QB Checking. Is there a lagtime between the approved QB Checking setup / approval, and the paper check deposit option becoming available to me?
So to deposit physical checks in QuickBooks what you have to do is , go to your merchant Intuit account, which is attached to your QuickBooks online account, from the home page look at the bottom right box that says ( processing tools) click on check transactions and the box for you to fill in the check information will pop up, and click the (I have signed authorization) box , because having a signed physical check written out to your company is a signed authorization document. E-check fee's do apply
Hope this helps anyone
