Transactions for Chase Bank credit card not displaying past a certain date.

For some reason my Chase Bank credit card transactions stop displaying on QB online past a certain date.  Is there a way to reload them?  I tried the update button and it didn't work.

Transactions for Chase Bank credit card not displaying past a certain date.

Good day to you, @Taxing Taxer.

Currently, there’s an ongoing investigation (INV-55007) where some users are seeing missing transactions with their Chase Bank account. Rest assured our banking engineers are working to fix this as soon as possible.

In the meantime, let’s manually upload your transactions to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Let me guide you how.

  1. Sign in to your Bank website and follow the instructions to download the file as QBO, .CSV, or .QFX (maximum file size 350KB).
  2. Ensure to download only those transactions that haven’t been downloaded to your account to avoid duplicates.
  3. Once done, go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  4. Click the Banking tab and click the blue tile of your Chase bank.
  5. Select the Link account drop-down menu and then click Upload from file.
  6. Click Browse and then select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then select Next.
  7. In the QuickBooks account drop-down, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then select Next.
  8. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks, then click Next.
  9. Then simply click Let's go when you're ready.

You can also check this article for more details: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

In case you’ve downloaded a duplicate transaction, you can just exclude them. You can see this article for guidance: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online.

When everything is all in place, you can now categorize and reconcile your accounts.

Furthermore, I encourage you to contact our Support team. This way, you'll be added to the list of affected users and be notified via email of any updates.

I appreciate your patience while we’re working to fix this. In case you have any other concerns or questions managing your bank transactions, you can always tag me in your reply. I’m always around ready to help you. Keep safe.

This is a mess.  How do know if there are duplicate transactions?

This is a complete mess.  There isn't any pattern to the transactions it missed. Its also impossible to tell what is duplicated.  This needs a fix badly.

Has this problem been fixed?  This is the second problem that has inhibited me from getting my accounting organized.  I see threads going back two years on this problem, and I am still having the problem today.  Can someone from Quickbooks please actual start fixing problems, and not just giving us a ticket number?

Jumping in to help with your concern about Online Banking, ConcreteComp.

The investigation that's attached to the banking issue with Chase credit cards has already been closed and resolved. Are you getting an error code when downloading your credit card transactions?

If so, follow the step in these articles that corresponds to the error that you're getting:

You may also need to log in to your account in a different browser or switch to an incognito/private browsing session. It's possible that a browser issue is preventing the transactions from being downloaded automatically into QBO.

Use these keyboard shortcuts to switch to incognito mode:

  • Ctrl Shift N  for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift P for Firefox
  • Control Option +if you're using Safari
  • Ctrl Shift P for Microsoft Edge

Then, go back to the Online Banking section and check if you can download new transactions. If you're able to do it, delete your browsing history by following the steps in this article: Clear Cache and Cookies to Fix Issues When Using QuickBooks Online.

Additional troubleshooting steps for banking issues are also shared here: What to Do if You Get a Bank Error or Can't Download Transactions in QuickBooks Online.

My Chase credit card is connected to my qbo account without errors. My full credit card payment appears in qbo and random other individual charges on my card appear in qbo. But it's still missing 90% of the individual transactions... hard to believe that this is an issue for an accounting tool
