I cannot print paystubs.
[email address removed]
Hi there, judy77,
I'm here to help ensure you're able to print paystubs.
If you're able to view those paystubs, but unable to print them, please perform the steps below to fix this.
Step 1: Use an incognito window.
It's likely a result of a browser error. This private window prevents your browser from storing additional cache files that maybe not letting you print paystubs. It's also a good way to check issues caused by a full cache. Please refer to this article for the supported browsers: System requirements for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Accountant, and QuickBooks Self-Employe....
Step 2: Delete cache and temporary internet files
When Step 1 works, it's recommended to clear cache and temporary internet files to optimize the browser's performance. This will also help delete the information stored in the cache.
Step 3: Disable pop-up blocker
Sometimes, certain updates will reset the pop-up blocker on your browser. Follow links below on how to turn this off:

Still having trouble printing checks properly. I've tried adjusting the printer preferences and it still comes out off. Either too high or too small.
Hello there, @officeadmin1.
I appreciate you for joining us in this thread and for sharing the troubleshooting steps you've tried to print the checks properly. This way, I can look for other steps to get you back on track.
First, please try the steps 1 to 3 outlined by MaryLandT. This way, we can check if this is a browser-related issue. Sometimes, stored data can cause unexpected behaviors like this, and needs to be cleared from the browser.
If you get the same result, ensure that the Adobe Acrobat or Reader installed on your computer is updated. Outdated versions of Adobe might not work when trying to print pay stubs and sales forms. To update, please refer to the link under How to update Adobe Reader/Acrobat in the following article: How to update, repair, or re-install Adobe installations.
After updating, set it as the default PDF viewer for your browser. This is to make sure you're using the updated version when printing the transactions in QuickBooks.

This article assumes that we have that app in our system and we are using quickbooks on a browser. We use the APP and it never lets us align the checks. I have to prepare everything on the APP and then go to the browser to print the checks. It has been like this for a while, since no one bothers to fix this APP!! I am looking for ideas on a new system to use, quickbooks is not what it used to be. Anyone has a response??
Hi, I only have trouble printing checks other than those mentioned above. I have tried with the set-up and cannot get the printed info to move into the proper space and lines on the checks.
Very frustrating and unprofessional, not to mention expensive with the checks we use!
I'd be happy to assist you@angryatkwkbks.
First, let's fix the settings of the mobile app by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Go to the Settings menu in your phone and uninstall the app from there. Once finished, you can now reinstall the app and make sure you allow all the notifications.
You'll want to check out this article for reference: How to Download the QuickBooks Online mobile app. This will guide you to install/download app.

That is not the issue. I do not have a MICR printer and ink. Why were we not informed that this was what we needed? This has been the issue with QBs the whole time; we get started and we are always one or two steps behind what we are supposed to have!!!!! I guess were are simply stupid or something. Now my personnel has to wait until I get these items before they can get a printed paycheck!!!!! OR I have to print them on the VersaChecks I have and then run 15 miles to the bank and have them print the MICR codes on the checks. What a fiasco. The bank hates me. I do not have a printing issue; they print just fine, but no BUSINESS ADDRESS, no CHECK #, no SIGNATURE LINE and no MICR codes.
I appreciate you joining in the thread, @MD GO GREEN.
This isn't the kind of service I want you to experience. If you're printing checks on a blank check stock, you will need to have a third-party solution that can be integrated into QuickBooks Online.
At this time, QBO does not directly support printing checks on blank check stock.
You can refer to this article for more information: Print checks on blank check stock.
I'm just a post away if you need anything else. Have a good one.
It's not so much that I'm having trouble printing, but the Name, Numerical value, and Numeric wording isn't lined up. They're all above where they should be on the check. I've done everything I can think of to fix it. From changing it to "Fit to page " "default" and "Fit to printable area". The only closest thing I can come up with is a custom fit at 105 zoom.
Could someone please help me with this?
I have Windows 10, fully updated, with updated Adobe as well.
Let's use the Fine-tune alignment feature, DoubleA217.

I see that this is troubleshooting with regards to printing checks from the Expenses menu. But I'm requesting assistance with printing checks from the payroll section, where it moves the paychecks into a PDF format.

You need to make sure that the Adobe Reader installed on your computer is in the latest version. The software controls the printing of checks in QuickBooks Online.
If you’re already using the updated one, set it up as the default PDF viewer for your browser. Once done, let’s test the solution by printing a dummy check.
Here’s how:
Take a look at this article for the details: Align how your checks print. If you continue to get the same result, I recommend performing the steps under Solution 2: Fine-tune alignment on the same link to fix the problem.
Please post again in the Community if you need assistance with anything else. I'll be ready to pop-in and help. Have a fantastic day!
I have tried several times to do everything that has been posted as well as contact phone support several times, I am just giving feedback that nothing has worked. I use Chrome and while doing payroll I used to be able to print all of my reports prior to printing my paystubs all in the same screen now it will not download the excel reports if I am in that screen so I have to finish payroll then go back to print reports, very frustrating and wish QBOL can fix this.
Hello, @CDN-855-
After running payroll, you can download a copy of your payroll reports in the payroll page. You can also export these reports and print it.
On the other hand, depending on the payroll report you want to print directly from QuickBooks, here's how:
Always feel free to leave your comments below if you have other questions.
I'm suddenly having trouble printing employee hours in time sheets through the QB's App., not Chrome. Is there help for this?
Hey there, Lisa BBook.
This is probably caused by a system delay in the QuickBooks Online app. We can do a few basic troubleshooting steps to fix the performance issue. First, let's refresh your QBO app by clicking Help, and then Reset App Data.
Next, clear the cache by going to File in the upper left corner, and then Clear Cache. This step will help us clear out the stored files which impact and causes issues in the program.
Lastly, if the above steps won't work, we'll have to uninstall and reinstall the QBO application. Here's the link to reinstall the app: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/download-products/install-and-use-apps/01/369692#M.... Scroll down to the Get the QuickBooks Mac or Windows App section, then click the Free Download button.
You can get more information about QBO app in this article: QuickBooks App for Windows and Mac: General support.
I'd appreciate if you can get back to me with the results. We can troubleshoot this further in case the same behavior occurs.
I have an apple laptop. I am unable to print a check correctly. Quickbooks instructed me to find another browser other than safari. I download Chrome, but still cannot print correctly. Extremely frustrating with the cost of the program and cannot use when I need it.
