Learn how to find, add, and manage apps in QuickBooks Online Accountant.
With the Apps tab, you can choose and change apps for both your firm and your clients from a single location.
Find apps
- From the left menu, select Apps.
- Go to the Find apps tab.
- Enter the app name in the search bar or select the Browse category ▼ dropdown menu to check out different apps.
Install an app
- Once you find the app, select its tile to see the reviews and pricing.
- To start the signup process, select Get App Now.
- Select your firm or select a client from the Install for Your Client ▼ dropdown menu.
- Select Install.
- Authorize QuickBooks to share your data with the selected app.
- Configure any sync preferences.
- Select Save & Sync.
Note: Not all apps can be synced to a client. These apps will notify a user about this limitation if they select any of it. You have the option to be notified when the app is available for you to install for your client.
View client apps
Go to the Client Apps tab to view and interact with the apps currently tied to your clients' companies.
| Important: You may see the option to activate the app if it's one of the discounted apps in the Apps Program. Activate the app as soon as you buy it in order to get as much use as possible. |
When you select the app tile, you can see who connected the app and the support contact information. You can select the Action ▼ dropdown to:
- Launch the app
- Access Support for the app
- Disconnect the app from the company
- Leave a Review for the app
Note: This dropdown is only available for your connected apps.
View firm apps
In the Firm apps tab, you can view or interact with apps connected to your firm. You can select the Action ▼ dropdown to:
- Launch the app
- Access Support for the app
- Disconnect the app from the company
- Leave a Review for the app
