I have a personal Quickbooks account, but in trying to open paychecks.intuit.com to view paychecks from a new job. I am getting this error message: 'The email you entered belongs to an admin account. Only employees can access their Workforce accounts.'  I am the admin on my personal Quickbooks, but this is unrelated to the new job.  Because I already have a Quickbooks account I am unable to access the paychecks for the new job.  Help!

Welcome to the Community, @KJ999. I understand the need to access your paychecks online.

As an employee, you'll have to ask for an invitation directly from your employer so that he/she will grant you access to view your paychecks online.

Then, check out this article to learn more about how you can accept the invitation and access your paychecks online: QuickBooks Workforce - Access your Paychecks and W-2’s Online.

Additionally, I've included these articles to help you learn more about the new QuickBooks Workforce:

Feel free to message again if you have additional questions. I'm always around to lend a hand.

I'm here to ensure you're able to view your paystubs, Chika.

If your employer hasn't invited you yet, you'll have to ask them to send one.

Please share these steps with your employer:

  1. Click Employees, then select Employee Center.
  2. Press Add New.
  3. Add your employee's info, including their email address. This will automatically invite your employee to see their pay stubs and W-2s. They'll get an email with instructions to set up their Workforce account.

After that, you'll receive an email with a link to set up and view your paystubs.

To learn more about the process, please see this article: Invite your Employees to See Pay Stubs, W-2s and More

Additionally, I've added an article that'll help you see your paystubs in Workforce: View your Paychecks

I'll be around in case you have other concerns or need further assistance with viewing your paystubs. Take care and stay safe!

There are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue, @ecornier.

Before that, did you encounter any error messages or prompts? Providing this information will help us narrow down the issue and determine the best resolution for you.

Here are some steps you can perform to resolve the issue that's preventing you from accessing your QuickBooks Workforce account to view paystubs and W-2s.

First, make sure you're entering the correct login credentials and your internet connection is stable. If you're experiencing issues signing in, you can refer to this guide to reset your user ID or password: Recover your Intuit account.

Another option is to open your account through an incognito or other supported browser. From there, try to access your pay stubs and W-2s. If this method works, you can clear your main browser's cache.

Here's how:

On the other hand, if the issue persists, you may want to reach out to your employer for assistance. They can resend the invite if necessary and provide you with printed copies of your pay stub and W2s.

Please don't hesitate to add comments if you have additional concerns or questions about your paychecks and forms. I'm always glad to help in any way I can, @ecornier.

Hello. I have been inviting an employee to Workforce and each time we resend the invoice we get an error message: You have clicked on an invalid link. Please be sure you have typed the link correctly...... It's only for this 1 employee that already has an existing Intuit account for using QuickTime. Can you help us get them connected to Workforce as well? Can we access workforce from the Intuit sign in page as well?

Thank you so much. I have spent a couple of hours on this already.

This isn't the kind of experience we want you and your employees to have with QuickBooks Workforce, che9. I'll provide details about the error and then encourage you to contact the next available support to look into this matter.

Based on our records, we have an open product investigation (INV-91437) regarding the occurrence mentioned above. Rest assured that this case is currently being worked on with utmost urgency.

Moreover, our engineers found that the error might be due to an email limitation that can only handle URLs under a specific length. Older versions of Microsoft Outlook can only handle 2087 characters, cutting off the end of the URL. As a workaround, have your employee accept the invite from a mobile device or a web client, such as Outlook online. Here's how:

  1. Go to outlook.office.com or your domain.
  2. Enter the email address and password for your account.
  3. Select Sign in.
  4. After your employee opens their email in a web browser, resend the invitation and have them accept it.

Since you're one of the affected, let's contact our Payroll Care team. They can add your account to the list of affected users. This ensures you're in the loop about the investigation's status and its fix. To do this, here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO company.
  2. Go to the Help (?) menu.
  3. Select the Search tab.
  4. Click the Contact Us button.
  5. Enter a brief description of your concern in the What can we help you with? field.
  6. Select Continue.
  7. Choose a way to connect with us (Chat or Callback).

Once this matter is resolved, you can also check out this article to provide additional assistance in finalizing this year's payroll and getting ready for the next using QBOP: Year-end checklist for QuickBooks Online Payroll.

We appreciate your patience. If there's anything else you need or have other payroll concerns, please let me know in the comments below. I'll be here ready to help you out.
