I had filled out 1099's online. When should I expect the information in the mail?
Hi there, @Shanon2.
I can share with you when you can expect the confirmation email once the 1099s are successfully e-filed.
When you e-file your 1099 forms, you will receive a confirmation email approximately a week after the IRS accepts and confirms submissions. Furthermore, if you e-filed the forms by January 28, the 1099 forms will be mailed to your contractors to the addresses indicated in the contractor's profile by January 31.
If you want to check the status of your e-filed 1099 forms, you can check the 1099 filings tab.
If you need to correct 1099s in QuickBooks Online (QBO), let me add this article as a guide: Correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks.
We'll be here if you have further questions about the status of your 1099 forms you e-filed within QBO. We're committed to offering ongoing support. Take care.
I am having difficulty entering a new business in my QuickBooks Pro. The area that wants my email address is shaded and it wont allow me to enter any information, therefore, it won't let me set up this new business.
I'm here to help you with your business setup, @Sandra921.
When creating a company file that requires Intuit account sign-in, the Admin email address field is uneditable and displayed in a greyed-out state. Once you've completed all the necessary fields with an asterisk, you can proceed by clicking the Create Company button.
However, the Create Company button remains greyed out unless an email address is entered in the Admin's email field.
To fix this issue, we can go through the steps again and select the Sign-in Later option, which will allow you to enter the email address manually. You can refer to this article for additional reference on creating company files: Create a QuickBooks Desktop company file.

I no longer work for a company that used my email address for QuickBooks. Now i am trying to start a new account but cant with my email address. can i have my email detached from that account so i can start a new account with it
Hello there, Matt.
You can still use your existing email address to add or create another company. Please know that each company file has its subscription, but you can access them with the same sign-in info by following these steps:
Step 1: Select a subscription you prefer for your new company file by visiting the QuickBooks pricing page or by clicking this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/.
Step 2: If you're already signed in to QuickBooks:
You can skip this step if you haven't signed recently.
Step 3: If you haven’t signed in recently:
On the other hand, you can also change the primary admin in your existing company file and assign it to your new account. If you can no longer access your old company, you can request to be the primary admin.
Here's how:
After sending the invitation, click the link and accept the invitation so that your new account can now be the primary admin.
To learn more about the said steps above, you can use this material since it contains a lot of information that will help you further about adding another company file to your existing email address:
Moreover, you can also get started and adjust settings after you sign up for QuickBooks Online after you sign in to your QBO account.
I'm glad to help if you need further assistance or have any additional questions regarding QBO. Just let us know in the comment section. Have a great day!
migrating desktop to online
Moving data efficiently between different QuickBooks products is crucial. Allow me to provide some details on handling this matter about migrating data to QuickBooks Online (QBO), Gregg.
Some features and transactions don't transfer over when you move your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO). It's because some transaction types are presented differently in QBO.
Please take note of the following information before moving to QBO:
After inputting seven months of fresh data into QBO, you'll need to manually transfer the transactions you entered in QBDT post-conversion by uploading them through an Excel spreadsheet. It involves exporting your list from QBDT and importing it into QBO.
I'm listing them down to make sure I got you covered:
On the other hand, you mentioned earlier that you don't see the built-in conversion tool. For QBDT Enterprise, our developers keyed the steps to migrate your data. Please follow my directions below:
You can refer to the article about how features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online. You'll want to expand the transaction section.
Also, you can check about moving data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO):
Keep me posted on how it goes in the comments below. If you have other migrating concerns or questions about managing your QBO data, I'm always ready to help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, Gregg.

Which QB Desktop year version?
I need to set up a custom role that adds the "Bill Approval" to the "Standard all access" role. It seems that something is stopping me from having a single user have both "Bill approval" and full access "Time Tracking"
I am a primary admin user. I am trying to setup a role for another user that gives them the authority to both 1) approve bills, and 2) have full access to Tracking Time...along with all the other "standard all access" role access.
QB Online or QB Desktop?
Let me help you set up the role, MM_bros.
May I know what specific product you are using? If this is QuickBooks Desktop, you can select from 4 predefined roles for your business. You can set up specific roles for your user. To do so, follow the steps below:
I have tried this on my end and here's my actual screenshot:
Please note that you'll have the option to select Full Access for your Purchases and Accounts Payable and the same as Time Tracking.
On the other hand, if you're using QuickBooks Online, you can only set different levels of access for standard users. They can work with customers, sales, vendors, and expenses and can enter timesheets, add users, update company information, or manage subscriptions.
If you want your users to track time, you can make them a time-tracking-only user. They can enter timesheets for themselves and will only have access to timesheets and time reports. For bill approval, this is only available in QuickBooks Online Advanced. You can create custom workflows to automate common tasks in QuickBooks.
You can also check this article on how access rights work: User Roles and Access Rights in QuickBooks Online.
Furthermore, learn how to add, edit, and troubleshoot QuickBooks user login and restrictions. I've got these articles for more information:
You can always keep in touch if you have any other concerns about managing users. I'm always right here to help.
I have a billing question. I am not a Quickbooks user and never have been. However, a reoccurring charge has been charged to my bank account. I can't seem to get a person on the phone to assist me. I use Quicken and my annual renewal has already been charged to my credit card. The charge in question is showing up on my bank account and the reference is @Qbook Onl. I have spoken to two and called 3 phone numbers to no avail. I will be contacting my bank to remove the charges but need to stop the reoccurring charge. HELP!
I acknowledge the importance of addressing this issue about the unwanted charges linked to your bank account, Ray. I'm here to ensure you can remove these.
To guarantee that the charges on your account are legitimate and are from Intuit, I suggest contacting your bank's support team. They will be able to provide you with more information and help you verify the charges. This extra step will help prevent any potential fraudulent activity on your account.
Once your bank confirms that these are from us, I recommend reaching out to our team so they can help you eliminate these transactions from your statement. To contact us, you can dial the number posted in this article: QuickBooks Online Support.
Additionally, here's a helpful website you can use if you have questions when using QuickBooks Online in the future: Help Articles.
Please don't hesitate to get back to this thread if you need further help in getting in touch with our support team. I'm always here to assist you.
