I can show you a few troubleshooting steps on how we can access your company file.

 

If you have QuickBooks Desktop, you can run the Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tools Hub. You can download the tool hub first and follow these steps on how to run the Quick Fix my Program.

 

  1. In the QuickBooks Tools Hub, select Program Problems.
  2. Click Quick Fix my Program.
  3. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.

However, if you still can't open your company file, you can follow Solution 2: Suppress the QuickBooks Desktop application of this article: QuickBooks Desktop doesn't start or won't open.

 

If you're using QuickBooks Online, and you're unable to log in to your account, you can reset your password. After resetting it, you'll want to try accessing your account through a private browser. If you can now successfully log in, you can go back to the main browser and clear the cache or use other supported browsers if the same thing happens.

There are no live people at Quickbooks! They say they'll call back in 5 minutes but never call back. The cat room says Help is on the way, but after hours of waiting, help never comes. This is a fraud!

Hello

I need to speak to  live body regarding my online QB online & Desktop. My husband passed away sudden in January 2020 &  My Business closed down at the end of March 2020 due to Covid-19. I called in June, 2020 to cancel both services. Between closing my business & auctioning all items & my husband passing, a few things got by me. However, opening statements I realized that you guys had been taking out every month & has caused my credit card to run up & I do not even use. This is why I never checked statements. That card had been put on the shelf. I had no idea you I was still been charged. 

I need all my money back from June of last year until I discovered 2 months ago. Are you able to help me?

I was heartbroken to hear about the loss of your loved one, @Cassandragay. That's why I'm here to guide you on the actions you need to take care of your billing concerns.

 

Since the Community is a public forum, and we'll need to collect some personal information to pull up your billing details, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team again. They can securely check your account and process the necessary refund on your behalf.

 

We've updated our support options in QBO. You'll have to log into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account and visit the Help menu so you can contact our live support. From there, you can choose the Get a callback option and get to speak with the next available representative. In case you can no longer access your account, you can also contact them through our QBO test drive.

 

Whenever you're ready, here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO company.
  2. Go to the Help (?) menu.
  3. Select the Search tab.
  4. Click the Contact Us button.
  5. Enter a brief description of your concern in the What can we help you with? field.
  6. Select Continue.
  7. Choose a way to connect with us (Send a message or Get a callback). Make sure to initiate contact during support hours.

 

I've attached a screenshot below that shows the last five steps.

Thank you for joining the thread. I can help you find your product and serial number. If you have QuickBooks Desktop, you can locate it by opening your QuickBooks and pressing the F2 key. That will open a Product & Information window, or if you couldn't open your QuickBooks, log in to your CAMPS. Here is the link with the option for either: Locate your license or product number.  

 

If you can't log in to CAMPs, I suggest reaching out to our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can verify your account in a secure environment and Intuit customer support can help you retrieve your product and serial number.

In QuickBooks Desktop, the Unrecoverable Error prompt may occur based on the status of your program and the file you're working on. I've listed below the most common reasons from other customers with the same experience as you.

 

  • Missing Windows or QuickBooks updates
  • Damage to your data
  • Computer issues
  • Program code needs repairing

 

Therefore, let's install and utilize the QuickBooks Tool hub to get rid of the error message prompt. I'll show you the steps on how to accomplish this.

 

  1. Download the QuickBooks Tool hub.
  2. Open and install the downloaded file.
  3. On the QuickBooks Tool app, select Program Problems.
  4. Click Quick Fix my Program.

Let me help you get your email address up as quickly as possible. QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) makes it easy to change the email associated with your account as well as add emails for your invoices. To do so, please refer to the steps below:

  1. Log in to the My Account site. 
  2. From the Manage your QuickBooks page, select the product you would like to manage.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow at the top right beside the company name.
  4. Select Edit Login, then go to the Profile tab.
  5. Click Edit in the Email address field.
  6. Type your new email address in the Email address and Confirm email address field.
  7. Enter your login password in the Password field.
  8. Once done, click Save. This sends a verification email to your new email address.
  9. Go to your email’s inbox and open the verification email. Click Verify my email.
  10. Once you see the prompt Email address verified, select Continue to complete the email change.

When finished, simply click the drop-down arrow in the From field to select which email address you want to use in sending invoices. Check out this link for more details: Connect your email to QuickBooks Desktop.

If you're subscribed to QuickBooks Online (QBO), follow these steps:

 

 

  1. Sign in to QBO.
  2. Select the profile icon next to Settings ⚙.
  3. Tap Manage your Intuit Account to go to the Intuit Account Manager.
  4. Click on Sign-in & security.
  5. Go to the User ID, Email addressPassword, or Phone section.
  6. Make your changes, then select Save.

We're currently unable to perform a callback in the Community space. However, I can give steps on how you can reach out to our Customer Care Team.

 

Please take note that our support hours for QuickBooks Online Plus, Essentials, and Simple Start is from M-F 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM PT. While QuickBooks Online Advanced is available any time, any day.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Help icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. In the Help window, click the Contact Us button located at the bottom.
  3. Enter your question and click Let's talk.
  4. Choose either Start a chat or Call us.

 

If you have the new QuickBooks Assistant help update, you can follow these steps:

 

  1. In your QuickBooks Online account, go to the Help > Assistant.
  2. Type Talk to a human and click the Contact a human button.
  3. Select Live Chat / Call me back.

I am listed as account user and account manager so QB will not let me update payment info, which has expired!

My company is ONLY one person - me, and I have only one email I utilize.

Let’s get this working for you, @LFventers. I'm here to ensure you're able to update the credit card details in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

You'll need Master or Company Admin access to change your QBO subscription payment information. It's possible that you're a "Standard user," which is why the system thinks you don't have permission.

 

If you're an admin and this issue persists, it can be the browser's cache is full. Let's have a look at what we can do to fix this together.

 

We'll begin by using a private browser to log into your QBO account. Data isn't saved in the cache. Thus, it's a great way to isolate browser-related issues.

 

Here are the keyboard shortcut keys:

 

  • For Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press the CTRL + Shift + P.
  • For Safari, press Command + Shift + N.
  • For Google Chrome, press CTRL + Shift + N.

 
To update the credit card information, return to the Billing & Subscription tab. If it succeeds, we'll clear the cache and cookies in your default browser to make a fresh start. This way, it'll function efficiently.

 

If private browsing doesn't work, try one of the other supported browsers to get the most out of QBO.

 

In the Billing & Subscription tab, you can do more than just update your credit card information. From there, you can change your billing cycle and upgrade your subscription.

You can run Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks tools so you can access your QuickBooks Desktop account. This tool is designed to fix issues when you can't open your program. Before that, you’ll want to download and install the QuickBooks Tool Hub.


Here’s how:

 

  1. Close your QuickBooks account.
  2. Download the most recent version of the QuickBooks Tool Hub, then save the file somewhere you can easily spot it.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Pay heed to the onscreen prompts to install, then agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the installation completes, click the icon on the Windows desktop to open the tool hub.


Then, performs the steps below to repair your QuickBooks.

 

  1. In the QuickBooks Tools Hub, select Program Problems.
  2. Click Quick Fix my Program.
  3. Try to open your QuickBooks.
