I am having problems using my password on the cloud to upload my paystubs for my payroll and the employees to view.  I have entered my last password and the system tells me it is invalid.  I have tried to resent password using my password when I sign in to my quickbooks program on my desktop, but it does not work. I have waited over 15 minutes, but your system will not let me in.

Are you having a problem with logging into your QuickBooks Desktop company file? If so, here's an article that can provide additional steps that you can take to help resolve this issue: Fix problems with my log in. Resetting your user ID or password again can help with fix this issue.

I've got your back on reactivating your client's payroll subscription.

 

If your client is under your wholesale billing, you can go to the Subscription and billing menu and reactivate the payroll subscription from there. Here's how:

 

  1. In QuickBooks Online Accountant, go to the Gear icon and select Subscriptions and billing.
  2. Select the Your subscriptions tab.
  3. Look for your client.
  4. From the Select action dropdown, select Resubscribe Payroll.

I'm adding this article for more details: Manage your wholesale billing plan and wholesale billing clients.

 

However, if your client is not in your wholesale billing, you can let them resubscribe their payroll subscription in their QuickBooks Online account.

 

  1. Click the Gear icon, then choose Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Billing & Subscription tab.
  3. Go to the Payroll section, and then click Resubscribed.

Hi there, @jl27.

 

One of the reasons why you cannot see the Help icon is the filed up data on your browser causing it to act inappropriately. To Isolate this issue that you have, you may access your Quickbooks online using a private browser.

 

You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N 
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P 
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N

You can also use another private browser.

 

If you are able to see the help icon upon using a private browser, you may go back to your regular browser and clear your browser's cache for optimal browser performance.

Thanks for letting us know about this.

 

You can just ignore that email if you haven't called the Support team. However, you can also contact them to check what was it for. They are available from 6 AM to 6 PM PT Monday through Friday.

  1. Click on Help.
  2. Repeatedly search for the word human.
  3. If asked to specify your concern, click on See samples.
  4. Choose I still need a human.
  5. Click on Contact Us and choose how you want to reach our support.

In reference to the $20 Charge every month. I am a produce farm and only use QB from May-August/Sept.

Therefore I only need your service for 5-6 months depending on Mother Nature.

I have joined on QB 40 -50 years. It's been a long time. QB used to be on a floppy disc, that's where I got started. Matter of fact I still have the floppys that I started with. It's very interesting how QB has progressed over the years.

It would be my pleasure to help you reset your password in QuickBooks Desktop, @summers1.

 

We can use the Automated Password Reset Tool to help you access your company file. Here's how: 

 

  1. Download the Automated password tool for QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Select your version of QuickBooks Desktop. Make sure the version of QuickBooks you last opened your company file with must be installed on your computer to reset your password. 
  3. Fill in the QuickBooks license number and business info used when you registered QuickBooks and then select Next.
  4. Accept the license agreement and the Automated Password Reset tool will auto-download.
  5. Run the Automated Password Reset tool and then enter the token number received via email.
  6. From the QuickBooks Desktop Products drop-down, choose the same QuickBooks version.
  7. Select Browse for Company File, and then select the company file you want to reset the password.
  8. Enter the correct Company File Admin User Name.
  9. Input your New Password and then Confirm New Password.
  10. Create a temporary password only as QuickBooks will ask you to change the password again when you open the company file.
  11. Click Reset Password to complete the process.

To reactivate your client's on your wholesale account, you just need to update their billing info. Head to the Update or edit a client’s info section of this article for the detailed steps. If you need further assistance with the process, you can reach out to our phone support team. You can request a screen share so they can guide you in reactivating your client's wholesale account. Follow these easy steps to get this done right away:

 

  1. At the top right, click the Help icon.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Under What can we help you with?, enter Re-activate a client on the wholesale account. 
  4. Click Let's Talk.
  5. You'll be routed into the Choose a way to connect with us page.
  6. Choose Get a callback or Start a chat.

If I have the 1099 Misc forms and want to use them for my 1099 contractors what box should the amount go into or do I need to use only the new Nec forms?

You need to choose Box 1 - Nonemployee Compensation on the 1099-NEC if you've filed 1099-Misc with only Box 7. For more details about the revised form and how the amounts are reported, feel free to read through this link: Understanding payment categories for the 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC.

Here's how:

  1. Click your name initial at the top, beside the Gear icon.
  2. Tap Manage your Intuit Account link.
  3. In the left menu, choose Sign in & security.
  4. Go to the Phone section to expand the field.
  5. On the Phone page, tap the Change link.
  6. Enter the new phone number, then the password. 
  7. Hit Save.
