This is so annoying. I wrote my response, then had to sign in and it erased it and now I have to re-type everything! Who designed this system? I linked to the contact support button, but there is no "get phone number." I spent over an hour with online support, whom I told I followed all these instructions to re-setup email. I can preview and print statements, but when I hit the email button, it says there is nothing to print. Anyone have any suggestions. I can't seem to talk to a person when I dial the 800#. It tells me to disconnect and hit F1 key, which freezes my QB. Any suggestions for a new accounting software? I've always liked QB until Windows 10 has begun causing problems.

The message that you received can be caused by Google's recent update for the privacy policy. To resolve this email issue, you'll need to reauthorize QuickBooks Desktop and continue using Gmail.
Before doing so, make sure to have the latest release of QuickBooks Desktop.
Once confirmed, you may now perform these steps below:

I am unable to send invoices through QuickBooks. I have a 2015 version. I'm being told by support via chat that I have to purchase the new version, at $299, to get this feature back
I am having the same problem with the 2015 version. The only response I got was that I needed to upgrade to the latest version which is $299 in order to email invoices.

Access to emailing invoices and other add-on services will be unavailable once QuickBooks has reached its 3-year product life cycle.
It would be best to upgrade the product if you're using any of the QBDT offered features.

I Have used QB desktop since 2004 just upgraded in May QB desktop 2019 and am now getting around to using the email feature but it will not let me email with my business address only personal email address will work.
I called Customer support and was told I needed to upgrade to 2020 for their support to fix this issue.
The software is supposed to have a 1 year warranty?

The QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2019 is still a supported version, therefore you don't need to upgrade to 2020 to use this feature.

We don't want you to encounter this inconvenience, @Eva7.
Let's manually repair your QuickBooks so it won't crash and you can edit your Send Forms settings under Preferences. But you'll have to create a backup copy of your company data first then, follow the steps below to repair QuickBooks.

Unfortunately repair did not help, uninstall/install did not help. Still the same issue.

A conversation with tech support states I'd have to purchase the newest version of Quickbooks to have the email invoices function to work properly.

Just like what my peer @ReymondO stated above, Intuit products have a 3-year cycle.
With that said, if you're using versions 2017 and older, then you'll have to purchase a supported version for your desired feature to work.
Otherwise, if you're using version 2018 or higher, then I suggest for you to set up a secure webmail connection.

I just changed my gmail address to outlook. Worked great, after trying everything else!!
I was just told in the sample company file that I cannot send emails from a sample company file.

In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you can only send or email invoices in your company file. The ability to do it using a sample file is currently unavailable.

The trick is the Allow Less Secure Apps setting. It needs to ON. And it turns itself off after a while.
I am now having a problem where when i click on email invoice, and then click send my loading circle keeps spinning until eventually the program is "not responding" in windows task manager and i have to end task. Ive spent 8 hours with customer support getting absolutely nowhere. Its my busy season too right now and this is painful.
