How do I find last year's 941 quarterly reports? The documentation is under E-filings, but there is nothing under Saved filings. Where do you find a copy of the report in order to print a copy?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Glad to have you back, @Julie96.
I'm here to provide some insights about viewing filed forms in QuickBooks Desktop.
The 941 forms that you filed can be saved in a PDF format. This will be stored on your hard drive, not in QuickBooks Desktop. If you've changed your PC, this can be the reason you're unable to see those filed forms.
If you can recover the data from your computer, you'll still be able to print the form. If not, you can perform any of these options below to accomplish your goal.
First is to pull up and print the same form in QuickBooks Desktop, just make sure to select the correct quarter. Know that the form is displaying as 2020 since it's the current year. However, the information that will show up is for 2019.
You can check out this link on how to do prepare and print them: Learn how to prepare and print Form 941, Schedule B, and Form 940.
The second is to gather the 941 form's data and download the form from the IRS website. Lastly is to process it manually through the Tax Form Worksheets in QBDT. Please refer to this article for more details: Excel-based payroll reports.
I've also added here some resources about Payroll Tax Forms for additional reference:
I'm just a post away if you have any other questions about payroll forms in QuickBooks Desktop. I'll be happy to help you out. Have a great day.
Hi Julie96. To view the forms that you have e-filed, just follow these quick steps:
Now the form will appear in a PDF format, now can save or print the file. Let me know if you need anything else, I'm always happy to help.
I do not see monthly, annual or archived forms anywhere. Last month my computer hard drive crashed. I had a back up of my QB account, but I am wondering if this is why I cannot find them. Are the archived forms only saved on the hard drive?
Glad to have you back, @Julie96.

I had intuit payroll last year for part of the year. I can't sign in because the account is not active this year. Is there any way to get a copy of W-2s from last year?

I can share additional details to locate your 2020 W2's form.
Before we start, please ensure that your QuickBooks software and payroll tax table are up-to-date to the latest release. Let's manually pull up your W2 form. I'll show you how.
Alternatively, you can download the W2 form from the IRS website and manually fill it out. You can pull up a tax worksheet from QuickBooks for the details:
