Hi there, David.
I'll explain why the QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) mobile app for iOS is now unavailable.
Starting from March 24, 2024, the QBSE mobile app will no longer be available for download on the Apple App Store as it will be discontinued soon. However, if you have already downloaded the app before this date, you can continue using it and receive product support and updates through the app store.
Since you uninstalled the app from your device, you can still redownload it from your app store account history instead of the app library. Here are the steps you can follow to redownload it:
For more detailed steps, visit this article: Redownload apps and games for your Apple devices from the App Store.
You can also consider checking out the latest QuickBooks Solopreneur. It's a similar product with more advanced features and helps you organize your business and personal transactions, track mileage, and measure your business performance.
Furthermore, to help you perform tasks within the app, I have added this link to view some video tutorials: QuickBooks Self-Employed - Mobile App Tutorials.
You can also notify us by leaving a comment below if you have any additional QuickBooks-related concerns. We'll be more than willing to help you get those sorted out as quickly as possible. Keep safe!

I can’t get the app to stop trying to update when I hit update it says it’s not available. Anyway to work around this?
Hello there, CT Audio.
I'll share some insights on why you're unable to update your mobile app in the QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) app store.
The QBSE mobile app is no longer available starting March 24, 2024, which is why you are unable to update it from the app store as it will be discontinued soon. As a workaround, you can utilize a web browser to log in to your QBSE account.
If you need help with other processes in QBSE, feel free to visit our articles on this page: General articles list page. They contain guides that can assist you in recording transactions, building reports, and more.
I'll keep an eye out for your reply. And if you have any other QuickBooks-related concerns, feel free to include them in the comments. We're here to assist you 24/7.
I had same problem and I tried to follow your advice about going to our initial purchase. Found it but it does not let me download it. Not a option
I'll ensure you're able to download the app, @Miles22. I'll also share a way around to help you access your account.
In the case that the application you're looking for doesn't have an option to re-download, it may be no longer offered in the app store. However, since the QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) app will be delisted after 4/24/2024, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks support to further help you download it.
On the other hand, you can access your QBSE account via a web browser on your mobile device.
Furthermore, you may want to switch to our QuickBooks Solopreneur product which has a similar feature to QBSE. This is also built for self-employed businesses and has basic accounting features like invoicing, banking, mileage, etc. For reference, feel free to check this article: Introduction to QuickBooks Solopreneur.
If there's anything you want to know about accessing your QuickBooks mobile app, please don't hesitate to leave a reply below. I'd be glad to provide a prompt response. Have a good day.

Here are the steps to follow:
After completing these steps, restart your device. If the issue persists, please uninstall and reinstall the app.
Additionally, I'm adding this article again for guidance if you decide to switch to our new QuickBooks product: Introduction to QuickBooks Solopreneur.

I noticed it’s not on the App Store. The app is currently installed on my iPhone but I no longer have invoice support. Any action I do that’s related to invoices I get an error. Is there a way to fix this?
Hello, @raw designs. I'll share some information about the QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) app.
Since you mentioned that you're unable to access your invoices through the mobile app, could you please specify the error you encountered? As of March 24, 2024, QBSE is no longer available on the App Store. If you installed the app prior to the discontinuation date, we can troubleshoot it to identify the issue with the invoice functionality.
Here's how:
Otherwise, you can consider using the web browser to access your invoices. For more information about the latest update of the app, check out this article: QuickBooks Self-Employed mobile app availability update.
Additionally, you can check out the new QuickBooks Solopreneur app. It's similar to QBSE with more advanced features.
Please let us know if you have questions or concerns about accessing the QBSE app by leaving a comment below. The Community is always available to help. Keep safe.
The app is gone from Android telephones. When you try to open it, it's just a white screen. I have no way to get to my data or to contact support since you need to do it through the app.
Still being billed for it, though.
The replacement product is twice as expensive for a trial and four times as expensive ongoing.
I need invoicing and mileage tracking.
Where is all my data???

Hello there, Gad5.
Let me provide troubleshooting steps in your QuickBooks Self Employed mobile app on your Android device to solve the white screen you're experiencing when trying to open your account for invoicing and mileage tracking.
Please note that once you enter or record data in QuickBooks Self-Employed, you'll always be able to see them within the program. Since you're unable to view your entries due to a white screen, I recommend following the steps provided by ShangY to fix the problem.
If the issue persists, I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the application to start fresh. I also advise checking on the QuickBooks mobile app system requirements to guarantee the compatibility of your Android device with the app to run smoothly.
In case the problem continues to occur, I recommend contacting our QBSE Support Team. They're the best support group for such inquiries as they can request account information. This way, they'll be able to investigate the cause of why you're getting a white screen.
In the meantime, you can access your QBSE via a browser to work with invoicing and mileage tracking as a workaround.
In case you need to explore our new product that is similar to QBSE with more advanced features, you can read this article: Introduction to QuickBooks Solopreneur.
This thread is always open if you have additional questions or concerns about QBSE or invoicing and mileage tracking in the program. We'll make sure to get back to you as soon as possible, Gad5. Take care!
Doesn't work on Android either. Can't get in the app or the website.
Where is everything?? I have invoices customers and need to get to the balance due!
You can't get to the app at all. It's a white screen.
The app is no longer available. I get that this is the answer you are told to provide but it's just a white screen. No navigation bar, no three dots.
Everything is gone. And if I just use it on my computer, I would lose the mileage.
So the answer is to "upgrade" to something four times more expensive
Is that the only answer?
Hi there-
Why am I still being charged $20/month for an app that is discontinued and doesn’t work? Shouldn’t users have been notified of this? How do i get refunded for April, May, and June of 2024?
I appreciate all the efforts you've exhausted just to get this working, @Gad5. Let me route you to the best support that can help you troubleshoot and check the issue.
Since the issue persists even after following the troubleshooting steps provided by my colleagues and concerning the charges to your account, @kalderr, I recommend reaching out to our QBSE Support Team to have them further investigate your account and provide you with more information.
For more details on how to get in touch with them and their available hours, please visit this article: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.
As you troubleshoot your QuickBooks Self-employed account, please know that the Community is always here to support and assist you at any time.
So, was Quicken actually going to tell anyone about this? I’ve been looking for the SE app on the App Store for months, then I happened to bumble upon this post.
That’s some great communication there, silently introducing a new app/sunsetting the previous app & not telling anyone or offering migration tips.
Thanks, Quicken.
