I can help you change your bank's new URL in QuickBooks Online, nsremodeling.

Changing the new bank's URL is an easy process. You only need to disconnect and reconnect your Lowe's commercial credit card account from QBO. I'll guide you through the steps:

To disconnect:

  1. Go to the Banking menu and locate the account.
  2. Click on the pencil icon then select Edit sign-in info.
  3. In the Account window, check the Disconnect this account on save box.
  4. Click Save and Close.

To reconnect:

  1. Go to the Banking menu and select the account.
  2. Choose Connect bank under the Action column.
  3. In the search bar, paste your bank's web address and click Enter
  4. Log in to your bank's website.

Once connected, your recent transactions will automatically be downloaded. You can review and match them to the entries in QuickBooks. You can refer to this article for detailed steps: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

If you need help reconciling your account, here's an article for the complete guide: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks for posting your question here. You can add a comment below if you need more help. I'll be sure to get back to you soon.

I can't link my Lowe's commercial credit card to QBO. They changed their URL and QBO doesn't recognize it. Can I manually add the URL to QBO?

My transactions, where the purchases are entered but not delivered for a couple of weeks, are not showing up in the Lowe's feed to QBO.  I own a fence company so we order our fence materials weeks in advance.  Once entered, a delivery transaction will reduce our Lowe's available credit, but we can't see the transaction on our online Lowe's account until the day after delivery because Lowe's doesn't recognize the sale until that point. All my non-delivery purchases show up fine.

I can't link my Lowe's commercial credit card to QBO. They changed their URL and QBO doesn't recognize it. Can I manually add the URL to QBO?

QBO is still suffering from this problem.  When attempting to connect a Lowes Commercial account, it appears the url still points to https://www.onlinecreditcenter6.com/commercialgen2/login.do?subActionId=1000&clientId=lowes.  That link when clicked, appears to redirect to lowes.sfy.com/commercial, but the QBO connection wizard isn't being forwarded, its just hanging up and never actually connects to the Lowes commercial account.  Please fix!

We appreciate your continued participation in the Community, Chris, and we are always here to help with any questions you post in our forum. With that, I'ts my pleasure to help you isolate your issue about the connectivity of Lowe's commercial credit card to QBO.

When a user encounters unexpected behavior, such as runtime problems, we can typically fix the issue by doing basic browser troubleshooting. Due to the browser's outdated pages, you could have issues connecting the Lowes Commercial account to QuickBooks Online.

Let's begin by signing in to your QuickBooks Online account in a private/incognito browser. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once you're in, link the Lowes Commercial account. If it's successful, return to your regular browser and clear the cache to eliminate the junk files.

We can utilize other supported browsers if the same issue occurs. The one you're using now may have a temporary problem with QuickBooks Online.

The resources listed below can help you manage your bank transactions going forward:

I can't link my Lowe's commercial credit card to QBO. They changed their URL and QBO doesn't recognize it. Can I manually add the URL to QBO?

Thanks for the reply!  I tried going into incognito mode in my chrome browser.  Attempted to link the lowes commercial account to QBO and met the same result.  The animation showing an attempted connection between qbo and the lowes login page just cycles indefinitely.  If I choose the Lowes Consumer account and enter my info, it immediately prompts me to try the commercial account selection when choosing which bank I want to link.  I've also tried using a different browser, Safari specifically.  It has the same result.  It seems to me the link that QBO is pointed at is an older link, and the connection wizard isn't being forwarded correctly to the new login page, which is lowes.sfy.com/commercial.  Thanks again for your quick reply, and I look forward to resolving this issue soon.

Thanks for getting back to us, @chris-pulitzerpl.

Let's check your bank's website to see if there are issues on your bank's end. You can look for any display problems as you navigate the website. These can block QuickBooks from linking to your bank.

If everything is fine, I suggest getting in touch with our Customer Support Team. This way, they can pull up your account securely and help check the cause of the problem.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Type in Talk to a human, then press Enter.
  3. Look for I still need a human and click on it.
  4. Click Get help from a human or Contact Support Team.
  5. Select between Send a messageSchedule an appointment, or Get a callback.

I've added this reference about matching and putting transactions in the correct accounts: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I can't link my Lowe's commercial credit card to QBO. They changed their URL and QBO doesn't recognize it. Can I manually add the URL to QBO?

I am having the same problem as reported by this other user. However, I have had my Lowe's account linked for over two years. Let me clarify that this is a COMMERCIAL account, not a personal client account. I've never had an issue until about a week ago, suddenly the account was not bringing in transactions. I have tried all troubleshooting methods possible, including everything referenced on this feed - and am still met with the same error. I believe the other user is correct - QB is using an old link that appears to be routing to the normal PERSONAL client accounts login for Lowe's, rather than the COMMERCIAL client accounts. The personal accounts login is https://lowes.syf.com/accounts/login/

and the commercial client accounts login is https://lowes.syf.com/commercial/ - and QB is no longer routing to the commercial login. Please assist!

I can't link my Lowe's commercial credit card to QBO. They changed their URL and QBO doesn't recognize it. Can I manually add the URL to QBO?

Hello, thanks for your reply!  When I attempt to link the Lowes commercial account to QBO, I don't receive an error code.  I click the lowes commercial account from the menu when prompted to select which bank I want to link.  I enter the login info and click continue.  Previously, the animation showing an attempted connection between Lowes Commercial login and QBO would just cycle over and over again and I wouldn't get an error.  The animation would continue indefinitely until I closed the browser.  When I tried it just now, I received this error:

Something unexpected happened and we couldn't connect to your bank.

Try signing in again, and check for typos and other errors. If that doesn't work, try signing in on the Lowe's Commercial Card (Synchrony) site. (176)

I've gone to the lowes commercial site, which is https://lowes.syf.com/commercial/ and entered my login info and I'm able to successfully login.  As I've mentioned in previous posts, it appears the connection wizard in QBO is trying to connect to https://www.onlinecreditcenter6.com/commercialgen2/login.do?subActionId=1000&clientId=lowes

and it is not forwarding to the new/correct login address.  I've attempted to link the account while my chrome browser is in incognito mode, I've tried using a different browser, and I've tried logging into QBO on my phone, utilizing that browser, and I'm getting the "Something unexpected happened" error.  I've verified my login info is correct numerous times.  I believe the issue is the connection wizard is pointed at the wrong website and needs to be corrected, but as an end user, I cannot change the website the connection wizard is pointed at.  Please fix!  I want to connect my Lowes commercial account!

@Rubielyn_J and @Maybelle_S and @SirielJeaB please read @chris-pulitzerpl 's reply. This needs to be escalated so it can be fixed. This is not a bank error and it is not a browser issue. The link that QBO is using to try to connect to the Lowe's Commercial Account is incorrect!

I can't link my Lowe's commercial credit card to QBO. They changed their URL and QBO doesn't recognize it. Can I manually add the URL to QBO?

I am having the same problem, although in my case I only recently got the Lowes Commercial card and did not have it previously linked. It looks like QBO is directing me to the non-commercial site to login and therefore my login credentials don't work.

Thanks for joining the thread, @sweymouth.

Once you connect your account to QuickBooks, let's make sure you're using the correct URL. That way, you'll be routed to the right login page.

If you already doublecheck your bank's URL and still getting the same results, I'd suggest connecting your account using a private window.

There are times when too much-accumulated cache in the browser can cause unexpected behavior with the product. This might be the reason why you're rerouted to other non-commercial login sites.

Simply press the following shortcut keys to access this mode:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox ).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This will delete temporarily stored files and free some space on your browser. Alternatively, you can use other supported, up-to-date browsers if the issue persists.

After successfully connecting your account, QuickBooks will automatically download your latest transactions. Once they're in, you'll need to review and categorize them to make sure they’ll go to the right accounts.

I can't link my Lowe's commercial credit card to QBO. They changed their URL and QBO doesn't recognize it. Can I manually add the URL to QBO?

So after a 40min call I confirmed with QBO tech support that this issue is on the QBO side and that they need to reach out to Lowe's to clear up the issue. QBO does not have the right URL for the Lowe's Commercial credit card login. They said they should have it resolved this week or by the middle of next week.

I can't link my Lowe's commercial credit card to QBO. They changed their URL and QBO doesn't recognize it. Can I manually add the URL to QBO?

This has been an issue for a week and it is clear from this thread that it is not possible to fix from the client side. The issue is that QBO is directing to the incorrect URL for Lowe's Commercial accounts. This happened at the same time that Lowe's Credit Center migrated to a new website and decommissioned their old system.

QBO needs to update the URL that the account connection wizard directs to. Currently, QBO links to the consumer login URL. It should be directing to: https://lowes.syf.com/commercial/

Until this is fixed on the QBO side, this issue will persist and we will not have access to automatic transaction downloads.

The troubleshooting steps of trying to connect the account from an incognito browser or a different browser, clearing the browser's cache, or disconnecting and reconnecting the Lowe's account are not relevant. This is an issue on the QBO side, not the client.

If you are having this issue, there is nothing you can do to fix it. But you can help by posting that you are having this issue here. That will help the issue be escalated until it is eventually given attention by those on the QBO side who can fix it.

Yes, correct. As I said in my post, I talked directly to QBO and they are working on a fix. Maybe if more people call directly it will get done faster. I may have to import the transactions directly if they don't fix the linking issue soon.

I have been having the same issue for over a week now and it is clear that the issue is not on the client side, but with QBO using the wrong URL for Lowes Commercial accounts. It is also clear that the "QB support" does not actually work to correct the proble, but continues the promote the irrelevant "fix" of "login in an incognito browser window". the QB support team should review all of the posts regarding this issue, the help offered to correct the problem and understand that they need to actually listen to the user. Very disappointing support.

ReymondO, what might Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari have to do with the Quickbooks Bank Feed to the commercial Lowes CC site? The Bank feed pulls up its own window to communicate to the Lowes CC site, and I would hope that is independent of any other desktop application. Please explain.
