Authorize QuickBooks as your Indiana unemployment Third Party Agent

Learn how to authorize QuickBooks to act as your payroll agent in Indiana (IN).

When you set up your new QuickBooks Online Payroll or QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Assisted service, or when you add a new employee in IN, you need to authorize us as your reporting service agent with the state. This will let us get and update your unemployment tax rate.

Authorize QuickBooks as your payroll agent

If you already have an agent added, you’ll need to remove them and then add QuickBooks as your new agent.

  1. Sign in to your Indiana Department of Workforce Development account.
  2. Select Maintain Users.
  3. Select User Information.
  4. From External Account Authorizations (Agents) select ADD. 
  5. Select Search.
  6. Enter ‌our Agent ID of 111559  (This will show as PayCycle Inc.), then select Search.
  7. Select PayCycle Inc., then select NEXT.
  8. From the Auth Level ▼ dropdown select Wage Records.
  9. Read and accept the affirmation of responsibility.
  10. Select NEXT to complete the authorization.
