Can you please help me to understand why I was denied for taking online payments?
This is something that I need for my sales, as I do not like to use PayPal if at all possible!
You can use a 3rd party merchant service to integrate with QBO.
Making sure you'll be able to process online payments in QuickBooks is my priority, @lacasasaddlery. Having issues when applying to this can delay your working progress. That's why, I'm here to provide information about this.
In QuickBooks, there are several reasons why you're denied for taking online payments. One of those is the following:
That being said, I recommend reaching out to the Merchant Support Team to further check what's the exact cause why your application was declined. Here's how:

Thank you for posting here in the Community, @Mubashir2.
I'd love to help you out with your concern about creating invoice payment by sharing possible scenarios I could think of.
Are you referring to the Receive payment option from the + New button that isn't showing? If so, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this fix.
There are times that the browser stores frequently accessed data, thus causing websites, like QuickBooks Online (QBO), to act weirdly. To verify, let's log in to your QBO account via a private browser. Here's how:
If this works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I recommend switching to a different one.
However, if you're referring to the online payment options within the invoice, you can click Edit under Online Payments. From there, select the checkboxes for the payment options you want. For more guidance, feel free to check out this article: Take and process payments in QuickBooks Online.
Come back to this post if you're referring to something else, @Mubashir2. I'll be around to provide further assistance.
You may also want to view the status of your sales transactions in your QuickBooks Online. You can go to the Sales menu and select All Sales.
Thanks for dropping by.

Welcome back to the Community, MC08.
Applications for QuickBooks Payments accounts can be declined for a number of reasons. As my colleagues have mentioned in earlier posts, it could have to do the type of products you sell, the type of business, credit history, or simply as a business decision on Intuit's part.
You can learn more by reviewing Intuit's Acceptable Use Policy for QuickBooks Payments applications.
You also have the option of getting in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your application in a secure environment, conduct further research, and discuss why it was declined with you.
They can be reached while you're signed in to QuickBooks Online.
Here's how:
Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

not letting me add my bank to my payment,
I want to ensure you can add your bank account for payments, amazinggrace.
Before we proceed, are you getting an error message when attempting to add your account? Any additional details will help me provide a timely solution.
In the meantime, let's do some troubleshooting steps to fix this. You can open a private window and check to see if this has something to do with our cache.
Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used web browsers:
If you can successfully add your account, go back to your main browser and clear the cache. Otherwise, use other supported browsers as an alternative.
If the issues persist, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Support to have this investigated.

I was told someone from the engineering or backend team was supposed to reach out and contact me within 48 hours. This was a few days ago. Not sure what else to do since every agent I speak to runs into the same issue that I am trying to solve, which is why I got approved for a Merchant account after retrying, but when I try to create an invoice and send, it says that I was disapproved. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

Before anything else, I'd like to thank you for the effort and time you've put into this. Please know that you'll get the Disapproved prompt if the business description selected on the application violates our Acceptable use policy based on the Merchant agreement. If this is incorrect, I'd recommend choosing a description that best represents your business type, and then you can start reapplying.
See this page for more information about the policy: INTUIT PAYMENTS ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY.
Once you have the description that best fits for your business, see this article to reapply: Take and process payments with QuickBooks Payments.

I am a landscape contractor, have great credit and it won't let me connect an already functioning merchant payment account from my desktop version to online. I've been using this payment account for years to send invoices so customers who can pay me with a link to an online site. Thing is, it won't let me create a new account, either. What's up? I contacted support and they were not able to help me. I am tearing my hair out trying to figure this out. I'm about ready to ditch QB Online because of this and other problems I have had with it.
I was just told from the support team that they will not tell me why I was denied bc of proprietary information. My credit score is great. So only thing left is at risk business. What is the risk ? I have been collecting checks from clients for 8 months. Everything is great. Now I have a sales service platform that can’t even take electronic payments. If I were to collect money from PayPal, Apple Pay, or the many other platforms they would not deny me bc of an at risk business. This at risk business thing is absolute bs everything is at risk. Even big corporations on the open stock market crash and are at risk. If your not going to take money from clients and stop all this red tape lawyer bs then sorry I am taking my services elsewhere.
Have you applied to a 3rd party service to integrate with QBO?
