However, as of Oct. 1, 2024, Intuit no longer sells new subscriptions of the following Desktop products in the US:

QuickBooks Desktop Premier Plus

QuickBooks Desktop Mac Plus

QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll

Existing subscribers are not impacted by this change. Existing QuickBooks Desktop Plus and Desktop Payroll subscribers can continue to renew their subscriptions after Sept. 30, 2024. We will continue to provide security updates, product updates, and support for existing subscribers.

Be aware of fraudsters and scammers impersonating Intuit

According to the FTC, the imposter scam is the number one fraud category, with reported losses of $2.7 billion annually. By arming yourself with knowledge of their tactics, you can keep these bad actors from attempting to harm you and your business.

We need to work together to stay ahead of scammers. Below is important information to help you protect your and your customers’ financial data from fraudsters and scammers and not fall victim to these bad actors. 

Never share your sign-in info

Intuit will NEVER call, email, or text you requesting a password or one-time passcode.

Imposter scams may pretend to be an Intuit employee asking for account verification info, but you should never share your sign-in info with anyone. Get more details about online scams.

Avoid technical support scams

Be aware of unauthorized parties attempting to impersonate Intuit sales or tech support. Examples of fraudulent tech support include:

• Unexpected and Unsolicited Support Communication: Scams include unsolicited support calls or emails claiming to represent Intuit as well as claims of non-existent tech issues such as malware or corrupted files. Intuit won’t reach out to you unprompted to fix a problem or address an issue. That is, Intuit will only reach out to you if you requested a call back for your support inquiry. 
• Demand for Payment: Fraudulent requests often come via email or phone with high-pressure tactics urging payments for services not requested, including phantom long-term subscriptions, and requests for immediate computer access or financial transactions.
• Misleading Sources: Fraudsters often use unofficial contact details such as non-Intuit emails, webpages, or phone numbers. Do not seek Intuit tech support using a search engine - if you need to contact Intuit tech support, see our support page here.

Make sure your data is protected

• Check that your account has an updated phone number and email address.
• Set up an authenticator app to generate secure one-time passcodes.
• Add your name and email address to your Intuit Account profile. We’ll use this info to verify your identity if you ever get locked out.
• Use a unique password for QuickBooks and don’t use the same password for multiple websites.
• You can add or update all of this in the Sign in and security and Profile sections of accounts.intuit.com.

Spot fake QuickBooks software

We want to alert you that there are unauthorized websites and resellers on ecommerce platforms that are selling fraudulent versions of QuickBooks Desktop software. Intuit no longer offers new subscriptions of QuickBooks Desktop Plus or QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll and no longer makes the non-subscription (sometimes referred to as Lifetime or perpetual license) versions of QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, and Mac. Please note that existing QuickBooks Desktop Plus and Desktop Payroll subscribers, like yourself, can continue to renew their subscriptions to get security updates, product updates, and support.

Any QuickBooks Desktop Plus or QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, or Mac product found for sale online across any platform (including Amazon and Google Search) is not authorized by Intuit and is a fraudulent product. Do not purchase these unauthorized products as they pose a security risk to both customer and financial data and may result in fraudulent charges and unfulfilled orders.
