Does QuickBooks offer bookkeeping services?

What’s included in QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted?

With Live Expert Assisted, QuickBooks-certified bookkeepers are available to give you guidance and answer questions you have on bookkeeping topics like categorization, automation, reconciliation, reporting, and workflow management. In addition, they are available to provide tax resource support on common business, payroll, sales, and 1099 tax topics like regulations, deadlines, deductions, and payments. You can request a callback anytime when you need a little extra help.

Bookkeepers are available Monday-Friday 6AM - 6PM PT. Some basic bookkeeping services may not be included and will be determined by your bookkeeper. Your bookkeeper will provide help based on the information you provide.

Live Expert Assisted bookkeepers will not work in your books, and cannot give tax advice specific to your business, or prepare or file taxes for you.

What’s not included in Expert Assisted?

Our bookkeepers will not be able to give you guidance on the following topics:

Tax advice, tax preparation and tax compliance, including but not limited to compliance and filings for state tax, local tax, and federal tax returns.

Specialized accounting, including GAAP accounting, full accrual, multi-currency, foreign currency, and crypto currency.

Financial or business advisory services, including industry specific questions and advice on business decisions.

Business operations, including third-party app set-up and integration.

If you need help with those subjects, we can connect you with a QuickBooks-certified ProAdvisor through our ProAdvisor program.

What is the difference between QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted vs. Expert Full-Service Bookkeeping?

Expert Assisted gives you access to bookkeepers who can help with:

Automating QuickBooks based on your business needs
Categorizing transactions and reconciling accounts correctly
Reviewing key business reports
Ensuring you stay on track for tax time

With Expert Assisted, you’ll still be managing your own books.

With Expert Full-Service Bookkeeping we pair you with a dedicated bookkeeper who will bring your books up to date and then manage your monthly books for you, so you can focus on your business.

What qualifications do QuickBooks Live bookkeepers have?

Our team of QuickBooks Live includes professionals from almost all industries. Additionally, all of our bookkeepers have the following credentials:

Active QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification
Active QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor certification
Minimum three years experience working with QuickBooks Online

And at least one of the following:

They’re an active Certified Public Accountant
They’re an active Certified Public Bookkeeper
They have a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
They have expertise in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping

What should I do to prepare before a call with a bookkeeper?

To get the most out of your call, make a note of all your questions beforehand so you don’t forget anything.
If you can, request a call when you have plenty of time and won’t be distracted so you have time to go over all your questions.
Bookkeepers will be ready to dive into your books with you. It’s best to be in front of your computer where you can sign in to QuickBooks Online and share your screen.
