Get help if you're over your Payments processing limit.

Learn what to do when payments are declined because you exceeded your processing limit.

To keep your account secure, we’ve set limits on the amount of money you can process over a 30-day period. When a payment is processed that takes you over your threshold, you may get the message, "You reached your processing limit, which means we couldn’t process at least one of your payments".

Here's what to do so your business can continue to process payments.

Understand your payment processing limit

Your processing limit is set when you sign up for Payments. It is periodically re-evaluated based on a variety of factors including your business profile, payment history, business credit score, and how long your business has been using our platform. Limits may also decrease over time due to low usage, or changes in your business profile.

Your limit is calculated based on approved payment transactions across a 30-day rolling window.

Locate your processing limit and request an increase

  1. Go to Settings Settings gear icon. and select Account and settings.
  2. Select Payments.
  3. Scroll to the Processing Limit section. You’ll see your current processing limit.

You can request a new processing limit as soon as your processing limit becomes visible.

  1. Select Request a new limit.
  2. Enter a new limit that best accommodates your payment processing needs in the next 30 days
  3. Select Continue.
  4. Select Send Request.

Your request may be approved instantly. Otherwise, requests are reviewed within 2 business days. We'll email you the results and, if needed, you may be asked to provide additional info like bank statements.

Note: If you need to send us bank statements, include your average historical balance. This helps us make sure you can support a higher processing limit.

To upload these documents, go to Settings Settings gear icon., select Resolution Center, then Payments.

If you need to accept payments today, ask your customers to pay you by another method, such as a check.
