Customize your Home page in QuickBooks Online

Your Home page in QuickBooks Online gives you a central view of your business, what needs attention, how things are performing, and quick access to your most-used workflows. You can personalize it by adding, removing, moving, and resizing sections and widgets to match how you work.

Note: This article applies to QuickBooks Online. Some features described here may not be available in Intuit Enterprise Suite.

Overview of your Home page

Here are the main sections of your Home page:

App carousel: Access different apps in QuickBooks Online, such as Accounting, Sales, and Customers. To reorder apps, select Customize at the bottom of the navigation menu.
Create actions: Shortcuts for starting common workflows. Select Show all to choose which actions appear. You can display up to 10. If you don't customize them, QuickBooks Online updates them over time as it learns more about your business.
Intuit Intelligence chat bar: Gives you quick access to Intuit Intelligence, which uses AI and your business data to provide instant answers and automate financial tasks.
Business at a glance: Widgets that provide insights about your business with quick access to related actions. Popular widgets include:
- Sales & Get Paid Funnel: Create payment requests, review unpaid invoices, find paid transactions, and check deposits.
- Bank Accounts: View balances for your banking and credit card accounts and cash on hand.
- Profit & Loss: See your net profit over time, along with total income and expenses.
- Expenses: View your spending over time, broken down by category.
- Cash Flow: See a summary of money coming in and going out of your business.
Business Feed: A prioritized summary of actions completed on your behalf, so you can review and approve them quickly.

Customize your Home page layout

Add or remove sections and widgets

Choose which sections and widgets appear on your Home page.

On the top-right of the Home page, select Customize .
Select Add or remove widgets.
In the Add widgets panel, select the sections and widgets you want to include. Uncheck any you don't want to show.
Select Save.

Tip: Select Privacy on your Home page to hide your financial data while the page is visible.

Move and resize widgets

Arrange your widgets to focus on what matters most to you.

On the top-right of the Home page, select Customize .
Hover over a widget, then select and drag it to a new position. Note: Some sections can't be reordered.
To resize a widget, select and drag its edges. Not all widgets can be resized, and some can only be resized in one direction.
Select Save when done.

Customize the Bank Account widget

The Bank Account widget has a few additional options:

Add a bank account: Select More options on the widget, then select Link accounts.
Reorder accounts: Select the Settings icon on the widget. Drag accounts to reorder them, then select Save.
Reconnect, disconnect, or rename an account: Select the Settings icon, then select the pencil icon next to the account. On the Bank transactions page, find the account and select the pencil icon to make your changes.
View or hide QuickBooks Loans: Select the Settings icon, then select the eye icon next to the loan account. Select Save when you're done.
