Track and manage your team’s time in QuickBooks Time web

Track time

You’ll be able to track and manage time for your crew after your admin assigns you as a manager of a group and you’ve signed in on the web dashboard.

Timesheets

  1. Go to Time Entries, select Timesheets, then Add Time.

  2. Enter the team member's username, and select Currently working.

  3. Fill out any other needed fields, then select Save.

  4. Repeat for each team member.

  1. In QuickBooks Time, select Time Entries, then Manual Time Card.

  2. Select the date range.

  3. Select Switch User, and enter the team member’s name.

  4. To track time against a job or customer, select (no job) or (no customer), and select from the list.

  5. Select inside the cell to enter the number of hours worked.

  6. If needed, enter Notes for that shift.

  7. Continue adding hours and notes to each day, then select Save.

Who's working 

You can also track time from the Who’s Working window, if you prefer. 

Switch job or customer

  1. Go to Time Entries, then select Timesheets.

  2. Next to the team member’s timesheet who’s working, select Edit Time ✎.

  3. Uncheck Currently working, and select Save.

  4. In Time Entries, select Add Time.

  5. Enter the team member's username, and select Currently working.

  6. Edit the job or customer and any other needed fields, then select Save.

Add a break

  1. Go to Time Entries, then select Timesheets.

  2. Next to the team member’s timesheet who’s working, select Edit Time ✎.

  3. Uncheck Currently working, and select Save.

  4. In Time Entries, select Add Time.

  5. Enter the team member's username, and select Currently working.

  6. Select the Job or Customer field, then select the break, and Save.

Edit or delete a timesheet 

Note: If your team member forgets to clock in or out, you can adjust their time. Or, if you’ve granted them the permission, they can adjust their own time.

  1. In QuickBooks Time, select Time Entries, then Timesheets.

  2. Select the correct date range, and find the timesheet you want to edit or delete.

    • To edit, select Edit Time ✎, make the changes, and select Save.

    • To delete, select Delete Time , then Delete to confirm.
