Learn how to upgrade or install QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise on a server or Linux File Server.
Depending on how your network is set up, there are a few different ways to install QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
Install Enterprise on a server
If you’re getting started with Enterprise, here’s how to download and install QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise for the first time.
If you’re already using QuickBooks Desktop Pro or Premier, here’s how to upgrade to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
Install Enterprise on a Linux File Server
Since you’re going to need to set up a network, it’s best to have help from a system admin. They’ll need to be familiar with the Linux operating system and will need the permissions to install and set up Enterprise on a Linux server. Depending on which version of Enterprise you’re using, here’s what to do.
Enterprise version 23.0: Linux file servers are no longer supported. Learn more about the System Requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2023.
Enterprise versions 20.0 thru 22.0: Here’s how to install the Linux Server Database Manager.
Enterprise version 19.0: Here’s how to install the Linux Server Database Manager. You’ll also need download the RPM package and public key.
Enterprise version 18.0: Here’s how to install the Linux Server Database Manager. You’ll also need to download the RPM package and public key.
