Error: There seems to be a systems problem or this may be an invalid card

You receive the following error when trying to process a credit card:
The Cardholder Name field contains a special character (. , & * % # @)
Ensure there are no special characters in the Cardholder Name field and try again.
Make sure Internet Explorer is set up to work with QuickBooks Desktop. For more details, see Configure Internet Explorer to work with merchant services and applications.
There may have been a temporary system problem. To prevent duplicate transactions, verify that the card was not charged in the Merchant Service Center. See Search for transactions in the Merchant Service Center for more details.
