Error 81624 happens when your bank declines or blocks the QuickBooks payment. The good news is it can be fixed, here’s how.

  • Card Billing Information: Make sure your card billing information is current and accurate.

  • Billing Address: Verify that the billing address in your QuickBooks company file matches the address on your card.

  • Contact Number Format: Confirm your contact number is correctly formatted, including the +area code.

  • Special Characters: Remove any special characters or symbols (e.g., @ or *) from your billing address, as these can cause errors.

  • Retry Payment: Attempt the payment later, as a temporary system or connection issue may be the cause.

  • Alternative Card: Use a different card to complete the payment. The card balance, type, or permissions may be preventing the transaction.

  • Bank Authorization: Contact your bank’s customer service to confirm that QuickBooks is authorized to bill your account. For PayPal, contact PayPal and/or the banking institution linked to your PayPal account.
