Change item prices in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac

Learn how to change item prices for multiple items at once in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

Change item price

  1. Select Lists and then Items to open your Item List.
  2. Go to Action and then select Change Item Prices.
    Note: Filter the list to show the item category like Service, Inventory Part, Non-inventory Part, or Other Charge.
  3. Type the item name in Search Items and checkmark the items you want to make changes to. 
    Note: To see inactive items, check Show Inactive Items.
  4. Type the new amount or percentage (you must type a percent sign) in Mark up sales prices of selected items by (amount or %).
  5. Select Unit Cost or Current Sales Price.
    Note: You can round amounts. Just use Rounding. To enter your own specifications, select User Defined.
  6. To change the item price, select Adjust and then OK.
