Connect Google Drive to QuickBooks with the AI connector
Learn how to connect Google Drive to QuickBooks so Intuit Intelligence can create invoices from documents in your Drive.
The QuickBooks AI connector for Google Drive lets Intuit Intelligence read documents you store in Google Drive, like signed statements of work and contracts, and turn them into invoice drafts in QuickBooks. Line items and payment terms become draft invoices, which you review and approve before saving or sending.
Note: Right now the connector only supports invoices.
Before you start
You need to be a company admin.
The connector works on the web and in the QuickBooks mobile app for iOS and Android. It isn't available on desktop.
Your documents need to be PDFs, images (.png or .jpg), or spreadsheets (.csv or .xlsx).
Each connection is tied to your own Google account and to one company. If more than one admin needs to connect, each person connects their own Google account.
Connect your Google Drive account
You can connect from the Intuit Intelligence chat or from Integrations.
From the Intuit Intelligence chat
Open Intuit Intelligence.
Select the plus icon (+), then turn on Google Drive in the menu.
Sign in to your Google account, then grant the permissions Google asks for.
From Integrations
Select Integrations at the top of the page, then select Explore integrations.
In the AI connectors section, select QuickBooks AI connector for Google Drive, then select Get integration now.
Sign in to your Google account, then grant the permissions Google asks for.
Create invoices from your Drive documents
Once you're connected, ask Intuit Intelligence what you'd like it to do. Try:
"Create invoices from billing files in Google Drive"
"Turn contracts in my Drive folder into invoices"
"Import statements of work from Google Drive"
For more on reviewing and sending invoices Intuit Intelligence creates, refer to Automate invoices with Intuit Intelligence.
Disconnect your Google Drive account
You can disconnect in either of these ways:
In the Intuit Intelligence chat, select the plus icon (+), then turn off Google Drive in the menu.
In Intuit Intelligence, open the expanded view, then select Connectors. Next to Google Drive, select the settings icon, then select Disconnect.
Disconnecting only removes your own connection. Other admins who connected their own Google accounts stay connected. Invoices already created in QuickBooks stay where they are.
