Import data to QuickBooks Time from QuickBooks Online

Learn how to import items like employees and customers from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Time.

Note: QuickBooks Time integrates with QuickBooks Online Plus and Essentials.

Additions and changes to QuickBooks Online customers, employees, service items, classes, and payroll items will automatically import into QuickBooks Time every 1 minute. The sync log will indicate this by displaying (Auto) next to the automatic imports.

• To restrict the import, go to QuickBooks > Preferences. Under Automatically import changes to, uncheck the items you don’t want to automatically import.
• To disable the automatic import entirely, uncheck Automatically import for changes made in QuickBooks.

To manually import:

1. In the upper right corner of QuickBooks Time, select QuickBooks > Import.
2. To view the import details, select QuickBooks > View Sync Log.
