How to use Dimension Assignment in Intuit Enterprise Suite
by Intuit• Updated 2 weeks ago
Manually assigning dimensions to every transaction or line item takes time and slows down productivity. Dimension Assignment feature streamlines this workflow by automatically suggesting dimension values for products & services, and fixed assets that don't have dimensions assigned.
Once a suggested dimension is confirmed, the system will automatically apply the same dimension to similar future transactions. This saves time, enhances accuracy, and ensures reliable reporting, enabling you to focus on higher-value tasks.
Assign dimension values to items in a list
To assign dimension values to your products & services, or fixed assets, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Go to Lists, then select Dimensions.
- Select Dimension assignment.
- Use the Select a type dropdown and select either Products and Services, or Fixed Assets.
- A list of items without dimension values will appear. Dimension value suggestions are marked with a Sparkle ✨ icon.
- Select the Sparkle icon to see the reason for the AI suggestion.
- You can edit or change the suggested dimension values if needed. When you edit the value, the Sparkle icon is removed from the item.
- Review the listed dimension values, then use the Actions column to Confirm or Dismiss them.
The updated dimension value will now be applied to future transactions.
Note: If you want to approve ‌multiple dimension values at once, click the checkbox next to the item and select Approve.
