Get started with the Finance Agent

by Intuit Updated 1 week ago

The Finance Agent works closely with your CFO and finance team to help with financial management and planning. Use your agent as extra support for what your finance department already does. You can interact with your Finance Agent in your business feed or on your reports page. Simply select Review summary to get started.

Your agent generates a summary for last month on the 5th of the current month. If you visit the dashboard between the 1st and 5th of any month, you'll see a summary for the 2 months prior. This is because most businesses complete their monthly close after the 5th.

In your financial summary you’ll see opportunities and potential risks. It provides insights into business finances, key highlights, and detailed breakdowns of your financial data. You can access your ‌agent panel at any time to get more info and suggestions.

Your Finance Agent offers you:

  • Summary info for key performance highlights, income and expense analysis (P&L), cash flow info, balance sheet data, and comparisons to budgets and goals.
  • Data analysis for insights on reports, budgets, goals, and forecasts (for Intuit Enterprise Suite with enough data).
  • Detailed breakdowns for each summary amount, like total income. The summary shows data for the current and previous months, year-over-year comparisons, forecasts, and reveals any significant fluctuations or insights.
  • Drill down into specific summary totals to see more detailed info, like income by customer or class.
  • Data refreshes every 24 hours, and you can also manually refresh the summary.
  • Benchmark your company performance against industry peers, defined goals, or budgets.

A major strength of your agent is the ability to drill down on the summary totals so you can see in detail what contributed to the overall amount. You can then use this comprehensive performance data to help you make better planning choices. If you still need more info, you can chat with your Finance Agent which is also there to answer inquiries.
