Learn how to view standard and custom reports in the QuickBooks mobile app for iOS and Android.

Get the latest update on your business's finances no matter where you are. In the QuickBooks mobile app, you can review standard reports like your profit and loss and balance sheet. Select any amount to see the transactions behind it, and view the custom reports you saved on the web.

Note: To create a new custom report, or to save changes to an existing one, sign in to QuickBooks Online on a web browser.

Here's what you need to view reports in the QuickBooks mobile app:

  • A QuickBooks Online subscription (QuickBooks Online Simple Start, QuickBooks Online Essentials, QuickBooks Online Plus, or QuickBooks Online Advanced).

  • The QuickBooks mobile app for iOS or Android.

  • Admin or accountant permissions to view reports.

Note:
• Reports in the mobile app aren't available for Intuit Enterprise Suite at this time.
• The new Modern Reports/KPI Scorecard is available on web but not on mobile.

View standard reports and drill-down behavior

You can check your profit and loss and balance sheet on the go, then select the numbers to see exactly which transactions make them up. The steps are the same on iOS and Android.

Note: Reports with many columns may require you to scroll to see them all. The mobile app displays up to 52 columns.
  • Open the QuickBooks mobile app.

  • Select Menu, then select Reports.

  • Select Profit & loss or Balance sheet.

  • To change the reporting period, select the filter icon or the current date range, then choose a period such as This month, Last quarter, or Year to date.

  • To see the transactions behind a number, select any blue total or amount on the report. A detailed list opens with the transactions that make up that total.

View your custom reports

Custom reports you build in QuickBooks Online on the web are ready for you in the mobile app, so you don't need to be at your desk.

Note: Reports with many columns may require you to scroll to see them all. The mobile app displays up to 52 columns.
  • Select Menu, then select Reports.

  • Select Custom reports.

  • Select or search for the report you want to open.

  • To adjust the date range, use the filters on the report.

That's it. You can now check your business's finances anytime, right from your phone or tablet.
