We’ve revamped our release process for QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, Premier Plus, Pro Plus, and Mac Plus. We're committed to providing you with the best possible experience, and that includes clear communication about our plans.

Here's what you need to know:

We continue to support QuickBooks Desktop

• We’re committed to supporting our current QuickBooks Desktop subscribers. 
• Instead of annual product launches, we’ve changed to a modern approach with continuous updates. This allows us to make new features and security updates available to you faster.
• This means QuickBooks Desktop Plus 2024 and QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 24.0 were our last annual platform releases.

Expect regular feature releases and security

• This means you'll get new features and improvements when available throughout the year, ensuring your software remains current and secure. Instead of spending time and effort installing a new version, you can enjoy product improvements with seamless updates.

Moving Forward

• QuickBooks will continue to have two product platforms - Online and Desktop.
• Desktop Enterprise is our flagship Desktop product.
  • Desktop Enterprise is our most premium desktop product and can also be hosted for cloud benefits. 
  • In 2024, we announced that we would stop selling QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Mac Plus and QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll to new customers. Existing Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Mac Plus, and Enhanced Payroll subscribers can continue to renew their subscription. We will continue to provide security updates, product updates, and customer support for existing subscribers as per the subscription terms.
    
    Note: If you have an active subscription of QuickBooks Desktop 2022 (22.0) or 2023 (23.0), these versions are eligible for upgrades to the latest 2024 (24.0) platform.
