Use custom statuses to define and track close progress in Intuit Accountant Suite using terminology that matches your firm’s internal workflow. This article describes how to create a custom status and how to edit or delete a status definition for your firm’s close process.
Add a custom status
Your firm’s workflow can contain up to 20 total statuses, including the defaults To do and Completed.
- From Intuit Accountant Suite, hover over All apps to select Books close, and then select Books close settings.
- Select Preferences. Scroll to Close status and select [pencil] edit.Â
- Select Add new.
- Enter the new custom status name and select Save on the same line.
- If necessary, select [drag icon] on the edge of the new status line and drag the status to the proper position in the workflow. Note that To do and Completed can’t be moved.
- Select Save when you’re finished.
Once saved, you’ll see your custom status whenever you set or update close statuses. It will be available for all future closes.
