Welcome to the new Intuit Accountant Suite (IAS). This unified, AI-first platform gives your firm a freshly designed home to manage clients, access new innovations, and drive efficiency. This guide walks you through your first-time login and the new navigation layout, then points you to a directory of training resources to help your team transition smoothly.

Your first-time sign-in experience

The first time you access Intuit Accountant Suite (IAS), you'll see a Welcome screen. Select Let's get started to personalize your firm's workspace.

  1. Enter firm details: Provide your legal business name and primary email (required), along with your primary phone and business website. Select Next.

  2. Select services: Choose the services your firm provides. This personalizes your content and prevents conflicting marketing from reaching your clients. Select Next.

  3. Select industries: Choose the industries your firm specializes in. Select Next.

  4. Choose your path: A pop-up offers two choices:

    • Learn what's new: Opens an overview of the platform's benefits. Selecting this dismisses the pop-up permanently.

    • Show me around: Launches a quick, guided tour of your new workspace.

Take the guided tour

If you select Show me around, we'll highlight the three most important areas of your new workspace:

  • My Menu (Accountant Tools): Already set up for how most firms work. Customize it anytime to fit your firm's needs.

  • Work tab: Everything in progress, across every client, tracked and managed in one place.

  • Firm Books: Your firm's financials, kept completely separate from your clients' books for privacy and organization.

Overview of the navigation menu

We've redesigned the menus to better separate your firm's operations from your client work.

Primary navigation

Move around the Intuit Accountant Suite (IAS) using the options on the navigation menu.

  • Create: Find quick actions such as creating customers, invoices, or bills.

  • Bookmarks: Add, edit, or sort your list of bookmarked pages for quick access.

  • Home: Your centralized homepage with a high-level view of your firm, including customizable widgets and alerts.

  • Clients: Manage your client base and subscriptions.

  • Work: Your central hub for service delivery and portfolio tracking.

  • Firm hub: Manage your team, training (ProAdvisor), and operational tools.

  • Firm books: Manage your firm's finances, reporting, and operations.

Top navigation

You'll find other essential tools across the top of the Intuit Accountant Suite (IAS) window.

  • Global header bar: Shows whether you're working in your firm's books or a client's books. If the global header bar is teal, you're in your firm's books; if you're in a client's books, the header turns gray.

  • Jump into client books: Find and sign in to any client's books quickly using the dropdown next to your firm's name. To return to your firm practice while in a client's books, select the Intuit QuickBooks logo to the left of the client's name.

  • Tasks: Create new tasks for yourself or your team, or manage existing tasks.

  • Workflow automation: View templates or create new workflows to streamline operations.

  • Integrations: See and manage your firm's and clients' applications and integrations in one menu.

  • Notifications: View your latest alerts and updates.

  • Settings (gear icon): Access your firm's settings, subscriptions, lists, and tools.

  • Help (? icon): Access support and help articles.

  • Intuit Account: Access your ProAdvisor profile, manage your Intuit Account, or sign out.

  • Intuit Intelligence: Ask questions about your firm or clients without switching views.

Understanding the new client list

The client list is optimized for speed and clarity.

  • Filter your list by toggling the Client type dropdown between Subscription and All.

  • The list displays these columns: Name, Client number, Accounting solutions, Other products, Attached apps, and Client type.

  • Note: The layout tabs previously found in QuickBooks Online Accountant (Overview, Bookkeeping, Workforce, and Multi-entity) aren't currently present in this streamlined view.

Intuit Accountant Suite (IAS) tiers and add-ons

Intuit Accountant Suite (IAS) is designed to scale with your firm. Choose the tier that best fits your needs, along with premium add-ons.

  • Intuit Accountant Suite Core (free): Everything from your previous QuickBooks Online Accountant experience, plus a centralized Customer Hub (CRM), customizable home dashboards, tax prep integration, and Intuit Intelligence chat (up to 200 prompts/month).

  • Intuit Accountant Suite Accelerate (paid, beta): Everything in Core, plus advanced tools for complex firms: Client Insights (KPI portfolio tracking), bulk user groups, AI-powered anomaly detection, and Intuit Intelligence chat (up to 1,000 prompts/month).
