What’s new in QuickBooks Online: February 2023

As you may have heard, on Groundhog Day this year, lovable marmot Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. That means we’ll get 6 more weeks of winter. Grab a warm cup of coffee or tea and check out this month’s updates.

Migration to QuickBooks Online now includes more payroll data

In a nutshell: For customers using QuickBooks Desktop and Payroll who migrate to QuickBooks Online, an enhancement to the process will now migrate your bank connection and direct deposit limits from Desktop to Online.

If you’ve configured direct deposit service on Desktop Payroll, you can pay your employees in QuickBooks Online Payroll without interruption after migration—with no manual setup required.

Account roll-ups in QuickBooks Online Advanced reports

In a nutshell: If you’re using Custom Reports Builder in QuickBooks Online Advanced, soon you’ll be able to create reports that better reflect your company’s accounting structure. That’s because you’ll be able to group data by columns that include built-in hierarchies—for example, accounts, customers, products, and more.

These reports will be more familiar and easier to review, as the information will reflect the same hierarchy you already use throughout QuickBooks.
