What information can I see about other members?
All members of the QuickBooks Business Network are searchable by their customer-facing business contact information. This includes your company name, phone number, customer-facing email address, website, and partial customer-facing address, which includes city, state/province, and ZIP/postal code (street address is excluded). These are the details that are commonly found on sales forms and company letterhead. Any other information associated with your QuickBooks Online account won’t be shown in the QuickBooks Business Network.
You can view and update your customer-facing contact information from Account and Settings inside your QuickBooks Online account. By sharing your business contact information, you are a part of helping small businesses to connect and reliably do business with each other.
How can I become a QuickBooks Business Network member?
The QuickBooks Business Network is currently available for QuickBooks Online customers in the United States and Canada. We are working to make this feature available in other locations, and will notify you when there are updates.
How does Intuit use my customer-facing business contact information?
For the QuickBooks Business Network, we use your customer-facing business contact information to do the hard work for you—such as automatically filling in invoices, bills, and new contact forms, so you can get back to doing business and reaching your financial goals. We also use this information to power the accounts payable automation feature, which makes it possible to send invoices directly to your customers’ QuickBooks account.
We believe helping you to power your prosperity includes keeping the data you share with us safe. We promise to never sell your personal information, and to give you transparency and control over how your data is shared. Learn more about what we do to secure your data here.
Will my contact info be visible to all QuickBooks customers?
You have choices about the information displayed in the QuickBooks Business Network. Members share their customer-facing business contact information only within the QuickBooks Business Network. We are committed to protecting your privacy, so your information is not visible to non-members. For more information about how we keep your data secure, visit our Privacy and Security Center.
Can I change the visibility of my contact info in the QuickBooks Business Network?
You may choose to make your customer-facing contact information non-searchable in the QuickBooks Business Network. Sign into your QuickBooks account, go to your Account and Settings, select the Advanced tab, and turn off your visibility. Changing your visibility will not affect your QuickBooks Online account.
Once you turn off your visibility, members of the QuickBooks Business Network will not be able to search and find your business. The accounts payable automation feature will be unavailable for any new contacts you add.
*Note: Accounts payable automation feature not available for Simple Start customers. Use of the QuickBooks Business Network for spam, marketing, or other activities which violate applicable Intuit terms of service is strictly prohibited. You may only view and connect with other QuickBooks Business Network members located in your geography. All Business Information is provided by QuickBooks Online customers and not independently verified or endorsed by Intuit.
