Intuit QuickBooks kicks off collaboration with Kerry Washington’s Street You Grew Up On

Season Four of the Popular YouTube Series Celebrates Stories of Community, Confidence, and Growth

Intuit QuickBooks has teamed up with Kerry Washington’s Street You Grew Up On YouTube series, as the show launches its fourth season which spotlights your favorite entrepreneurs, activists, and artists as they discuss the communities and influential figures that helped shape them along the way. This season, which features guests Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Queen Latifah, Lee Daniels, Aja Naomi King, and more, is all about embracing community, fostering growth, and building the confidence to go on your own unique journey as an entrepreneur.

Each guest brings a special story of the people and places that helped them grow and instill the confidence they needed to reach success in their career and life. From the neighborhood dance studio to the hair salon around the corner, oftentimes it was the local small business owners that made an impact on their upbringing and inspired them as they embarked on their own entrepreneurial ventures. Small businesses are so crucial to our communities and culture, but often aren’t given the credit and recognition they deserve. In an effort to spotlight and celebrate these unsung heroes, Kerry invites each guest to pick a small business that’s dear to them and their community who will receive $10,000 on behalf of QuickBooks to help them continue to thrive and grow their small businesses.

Throughout the season, we’ll also spotlight the stories of two budding businesswomen—Donyale Walton, owner of Hoop Mobb and Noelle Santos, owner of Lit Bar—to showcase their entrepreneurial stories and unique journeys, while highlighting how they use QuickBooks to power their business in action. With a little help and mentorship from Washington and QuickBooks, these Mentor Moments offer them a platform to amplify their voices and share their experiences, such as balancing motherhood while building a business, and a place to discuss how QuickBooks helped them get under the hood of their businesses.

The season premiere of Street You Grew Up On featuring legendary rapper, singer, and actress Queen Latifah will be live on Nov. 19 on YouTube. Be sure to check it out, and follow along with us throughout the season on our Instagram and TikTok!
