This August, QuickBooks is releasing new features and powerful updates to the essential tools you rely on to run your business. It starts with core workflows done right: faster performance and improvements to the tools you use most. And it extends to new AI-powered capabilities that help you automate operations, get deeper insights, and grow your business. Our system of intelligence is built to fuel the success for businesses and the accountants who support them. The result: cleaner books, faster payments, and confident decisions. Get it all done without doing it all yourself.
If you have an accountant, collaborating in QuickBooks unlocks powerful, next-level benefits and services. Your books stay current, with less time spent on cleanup—freeing up your accountant for the work only they can do: spotting risk, planning for growth, advising on decisions that move your business. Both of you work from the same real-time, accurate view.
At Intuit, we're committed to building the future together, turning your feedback into the tools, intelligence, and platform capabilities that help your business succeed. QuickBooks is improving on two fronts at once: launching new capabilities like Intuit Intelligence1, and steadily improving the everyday workflows you count on.
This is ongoing work, not a one-time fix, and there's more detail on all of it in our full rundown of 2026 product improvements.
Intuit Intelligence1 is a connected intelligence layer that does the work for you, while ensuring quality with access to human experts. You have the control, clarity, and confidence to run your business, all on one connected platform.
This intelligence is built on 40 years of real financial data from millions of businesses, trained on what businesses in your industry actually do and need. It draws on the patterns of millions of businesses to identify risks, uncover opportunities, and recommend personalized actions, all with the highest standards for security, privacy, accuracy, and compliance.
Businesses are already seeing the difference. Millions of customers have used Intuit Intelligence, and early results show customers are getting paid four days faster on average,2 seeing a 30% reduction in manual work,3 and driving a nearly 20% increase in revenue.4
“We’ve seen a real revenue impact with Intuit Intelligence. It’s really helped me to find out the trends of our customers. And that helped me to be able to tailor some of our sales and marketing strategies.”
—Dan McMurray, President of Alpha Industrial Supply

Get paid faster with invoices that manage themselves and automatic payment reminders
Stop spending your evenings creating invoices and chasing down late payments. With invoicing on autopilot, QuickBooks can scan your saved documents—like statements of work or sales orders—and draft invoices for you to quickly review and send. Choose when overdue invoices get flagged, and QuickBooks will line up ready-to-send reminders. You get paid four days faster on average.2 Invoicing on autopilot is in beta and subject to monthly usage limits as we keep improving it. (Available in Essentials, Plus, Advanced)
Intuit Intelligence learns your patterns. When it spots a recurring task, like pulling a certain report every Monday, it offers to automate it. Say yes once, and Intuit Intelligence handles it from there. You can also turn answers into actions: create your own automations or start from a template, like sending overdue reminders or flagging duplicate bills. Just tell Intuit Intelligence chat what you want done, and set a schedule as needed. (All plans, limited capacity by plan)
If you’re a QuickBooks Workforce user, you can now run payroll right from your phone.5 Open the QuickBooks mobile app and ask Intuit Intelligence—it helps you prep the pay run, enter hours and any one-time items like bonuses or reimbursements, review each employee's pay, and flag anything that looks off before you submit. Payroll only runs when you approve it, so payday gets done between customers, on the job site, or wherever the day takes you.
Standard ACH bill payments are now free with QuickBooks Bill Pay.⁶ Manage accounts payable, schedule bills, and pay them all in one place—no need to go through your bank. And no matter how many bills you pay, standard ACH stays free, so your focus stays on growing your business, not paying fees.
You've got more ways to get paid, too: QuickBooks Payments gets you paid up to 4 times faster,7 now supporting Buy Now, Pay Later via Affirm8 for invoices. Tap to Pay,9 already available on Apple devices and now on Android, lets you collect payments on the go without specialized hardware. Note: Chargeback and ACH return fees may apply to Payments transactions.
Running a business comes with hurdles—and when you need funding, the traditional lending process can feel opaque and stressful. It doesn't have to be. With the new QuickBooks Lending Overview page10 and Intuit Intelligence, QuickBooks gives you real-time insight into your business health and a clear view of factors lenders commonly consider. Whether you're just starting out, scaling up, or running a growing and complex business, you can explore potential funding options right inside QuickBooks.
Note: For Books Check-In, Smart Expert Categorization, and Books Upkeep, if your business is billed for QuickBooks, the service is ready for you to switch on, but we encourage you to check with your accountant first. If your accounting firm is billed for your subscription, please coordinate with your accountant to enable these features, so your new workflow is aligned with their expert guidance. (Essentials, Plus, Advanced)
For new QuickBooks users, getting set up right is what makes everything downstream easier. Tell us about your business, and intelligent onboarding fills in the details, connects your accounts, and starts organizing your books the way your industry works. A setup expert is available to help ensure you get the most out of your QuickBooks experience. Schedule live one-on-one time with a setup expert as often as necessary during your first 90 days, or until onboarding is complete, whichever comes first. Start with a strong foundation you can build on. (Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, Advanced)

Ask questions, get trusted insights: Intuit Intelligence with conversational business intelligence (beta)
Your financial data is only useful if it's actionable. Now, with conversational business intelligence you can just ask. Use a prompt like: "What was my cash flow last month?" or "How do my expenses compare to this time last year?" and Intuit Intelligence gives you a clear read on what's happening now, what’s shifting in your business, and why. You can get insights grounded in your actual business history, compare hypothetical scenarios, and turn data into decisions—without spending hours on spreadsheets. (All plans, limited capacity by plan)
Presentation-ready management reports and a custom report builder
When it's time to share the story behind your numbers, QuickBooks Advanced turns them into presentation-ready management reports. Financials, charts, and KPIs combine with AI-generated commentary into one clear package you can hand to your team, your accountant, or your board. Need something more specific? The custom report builder lets you build the exact report you want. Choose your metrics, group and format it your way, and let embedded AI flag anomalies and answer plain language questions about what you're seeing. (Advanced)
KPIs and dashboards for cash flow, P&L, and balance sheet
Keep a finger on the pulse of your business with a KPI scorecard and pre-built dashboards for cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheet health. These features provide a clearer picture of where you stand, at a glance. Essentials and Plus users get two custom KPIs with three pre-built dashboards. For Advanced users, there’s no limit on custom KPIs, and you can access all pre-built dashboards or build your own. (New to Essentials and Plus; already available in Advanced)
Personalized data behind every number
Every insight is grounded in your actual history and trained on the patterns of millions of businesses. Reports drill down to the transaction behind any number, so you can see exactly what's driving change. Just ask Intuit Intelligence chat to pull the report you need. (All plans, limited capacity by plan.)
Know what’s changed, and what’s next
Proactive alerts surface what's shifting in your business and why. Intuit Intelligence recommends the next move, so you're not just informed, you're ready to act. (Plus, Advanced)
Your data stays yours
QuickBooks uses data to create meaningful and accurate financial insights and predictions, while protecting the privacy and security of your data. Every action is reviewable, reversible, and yours to control. (All plans)
