September has arrived once again, bringing exciting new beginnings with it, including autumn, school, and football season. It’s also Global Company Culture Month, a chance for organizations to encourage their teams to engage and connect in new ways. Global Company Culture Month pushes businesses to focus on creating a more inclusive work environment to improve staff experience and work/life balance. Improving company culture can boost recruitment and retention, too—it’s one strategy to attract and keep top talent. After checking that out, be sure to read this month’s updates.

Here's what's new in QuickBooks Online for September 2025
A more powerful QuickBooks experience
In a nutshell: With a more powerful QuickBooks Online, you can grow your business faster with Intuit’s AI agents and access to trusted experts to manage your books, customers, and expenses.
If your business opted in to the new QuickBooks, you’re probably already familiar with the updated look and feel. It has time-saving automations and an interface you can customize with all your favorite features—plus some new ones. Here’s a few for starters:
- Consider tedious tasks done and off your plate. Access to a team of AI agents saves you time by managing books, payments, and leads for you.
- Work more efficiently and stay in control with the Business Feed, your home base for efficiency, from work done by AI agents and ready for you to review and approve, to tips on what’s next.
- Get unstuck and back to business. When you have bookkeeping, payroll, or tax questions, AI agents can be paired with trusted experts to get you answers fast.
- Get accuracy you can count on with the Accounting Agent. It updates transactions, combines data, and spots inconsistencies for better accuracy—so nothing falls through the cracks.
Note: If your business previously opted out of the new QuickBooks Online, you’ll see the new experience starting October 1, 2025, when the classic QuickBooks look and feel becomes unavailable.

Bill Pay Basic comes with QuickBooks Online
In a nutshell: QuickBooks Online plans now include QuickBooks Bill Pay Basic for all customers.
Bill Pay Basic is now included with every new sign-up of QuickBooks Online Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. You can also activate it if you’re already using these subscriptions.
Bill Pay Basic can help you:
Automate busywork and say goodbye to manual bill entry. Forward invoices directly to your QuickBooks account to generate pre-filled bills you can then review, approve, and schedule.
Close books with confidence. Initiating and tracking payments within QuickBooks means that vendor payments are automatically recorded and matched to transactions, helping reduce reconciliation errors.**
Strengthen your strategy. Integrating payables gives you real-time cash flow insights you can use to make smarter business decisions for your business’s future.
For more complex AP processing needs, you may prefer to upgrade to Bill Pay Premium or Bill Pay Elite.
