Cannot access my checking or deposit icon

Thanks for joining the Community, @bruce13. I'm here to help with accessing the Check and Bank Deposit icons. 

Just to clarify, do you have an option of + New at the top of the navigation panel? If so, there has been a change to the workflow in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This button can be used to access the functions you mentioned.
