Why can I not simply delete transactions when I bulk import?... There is no delete button anywhere. It forces me to delete all of the transactions at once from my import screen instead of allowing me to simply delete one transaction... Any ideas? I feel like this is a bug...

Hello there, @userkxtiemccxnn.

You can manually Exclude the transactions from the Transactions page. This way, the transactions will be removed from your tax year calculations in the Home or Expense screens.

Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Look for the transactions you want to exclude.
  3. Under the ACTION column, click the drop-down arrow to view more details.
  4. Check the Exclude this transaction box.
  5. Tap Save.

For more details about this one, check out this article: Exclude or delete transactions

You can also review them first before importing the file. Just click the Transactions menu use the filter option to only display the ones you've imported.

After you've done importing all the bank transactions, you can categorize them. For the detailed steps, kindly refer to this article's Categorize a transaction section: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed. It also contains information about account categories in the Learn about income and expenses drop-down field.
