Nonprofit Budget set up

We use Enterprise Nonprofit 23.0

I am trying to set up a budget that incudes all classes except for one. For example: I want to see everything except for anything classed Hartnell Property. Can I, and how do I set this up? I know I can set up a budget showing me just one class, but that does not solve my problem. My board wants to see this class excluded form my P&L. Thank you!

You need to make inactive the class that you want to exclude before you create a budget, ahendersonrcs.

 

QuickBooks Desktop doesn't have a built-in option to exclude a specific class when setting up a budget. To make the class inactive, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Lists menu and select Class List.
  2. Right-click on the class you want to exclude (e.g., Hartnell Property) and select Make Class Inactive.
  3. Then, go to the Company menu and create a budget. The inactive class will no longer appear in the budget setup. See the difference below:
