Bank account transactions won't sync

Good morning. I'm having some difficulty with my bank account. The total balance will sync with Quickbooks, but the individual transactions will not. Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions on how I might resolve it? Thank you.

Bank account transactions won't sync

Hi there, david-taylor.

We'd want to make sure that we get this sorted out. Can you tell us the name of the bank that's connected in QBO? I need this to check if we have an ongoing or open investigation that's related to bank transactions that are not downloading in QuickBooks Online.

In the meantime, I'll share some steps to check if too much cache or a browser issue is preventing the transactions from being downloaded in your account.

Start by using an incognito/private browsing session or a different browser. Here are some of keyboard shortcuts to quickly open an incognito session:

  • Ctrl Shift N  for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift P  for Firefox
  • Control Option +if you're using Safari
  • Ctrl Shift P for Microsoft Edge

Once done, go back to your account and click the Update button in the upper-right hand corner of your Online Banking. If you can see that it's being updated, follow the steps in this article to delete your browsing history: Clear Cache And Cookies To Fix Issues When Using QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have follow-up questions.

Hi david-taylor,

Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the concern you had with banking transactions yesterday. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.

Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!

Bank account transactions won't sync

Good morning. This issue is still ongoing. I can only get Quickbooks to recognize new transactions with SunTrust if I download a CSV or Quickbooks file and upload it into Quickbooks. This happens regardless if I'm using the app or in my browser. The problem seems like it started sometime over last weekend.

Thank you for providing the details, david-taylor.

Upon checking it here on my end, there's an investigation created for this bank. There are customers with missing bank transactions as well.

I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support so you will be added to the list. This will help our banking engineers determine the number of affected users.

  1. Go to the Help icon.
  2. Select Talk to a human.
  3. Enter "Talk to a human" again in the search bar.
  4. Choose I still need a human, then click Contact us.
  5. Select Get a callback or Send a message to start a conversation.

If you have other concerns, you can always leave a reply on this thread.
