How is it that QBO does not support automatic transaction downloading from checking accounts that require 2 factor authentication? That requirement seems so ordinary these days, and QBO SHOULD provide for it. Do I seriously have to manually download and upload a file each time?

This is another thing I don't get... how come in step 3 below it indicates that a 2FA code can be entered, however this option does not show on my end. How can I make it show up for me? Currently, the response simply says that I have to go the the bank's website and take care of something.

Mostly, those who handle sensitive information or data like banks are required by state laws for the authentication process. Therefore, some banks have different processes, it could be multi-factor authentication or simply codes. This is new industry-standard security to safeguard your account. With this, QuickBooks depends on the security protocol your bank has implemented.
Your bank may have a different process for authentication, which is why your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) code does not show on your end.

I appreciate people giving me "what they can", albeit with the unspoken understanding that I can somehow remedy the situation myself. However it seems that we all know that I cannot remedy the situation, short of performing manual updates, which is just a clunky workaround and not a good solution at all. This is just simple 2FA were talking about, implemented by thousands of banks nowadays. QBO is failing to stay even in step with the industry standards. Why not aspire to be ahead of the game and truly impress users?
Oh yeah, this manual file update is gReAt!! Downloaded 5 transactions... 2 were matched automatically; 1 was a true add; 2 were not matched automatically. When trying to match the 2 manually, zero transactions were shown for matching after entering correct dates to search and verifying amounts were the same. There doesn't seem to be a way to 'show all' uncleared transactions to manually select the match, so I'm left to exclude the downloaded records and manually clear the transactions in the register. What a disappointment this is with just 5 records downloaded.
And to think that the solution is to change banks that require LESS security for their online connections. Rather than QBO NOT falling behind with industry standards. Furthermore, what a slap in the face that you just nearly doubled the price for this clearly antiquated product.
