attached reciepts not displaying

Regarding attachments

 

recently after we attach a receipt to a transaction.... If we return to that transaction and click on the attachment to view it... QB instead of opening the attachment in a new tab to view as it normally would.

Instead it opens the file folder on my local hard drive as if to save the document to my local hard drive.

 

AND if you click "save" from this window, it does indeed save the attached image to the local hard drive folder!

 

But it will not display the attachment

 

To add to the oddity of this... It only occurs with transactions attached after 11/10/22 all attachments attached prior to this date display normally.

 

The earlier transaction attachments open a new tab in the browser displaying the attached document.

When you click on the attachment already attached in QB it opens a local doc save window as if to save the attachment to the local hard drive. 

 

Nice programming QB if this is not rectified right away I will cease to do business.

I cannot risk leaving my accounting in the hands of software this glichy.

I hear your sentiments, @Glen.

 

Being able to open the attachment as it did before would be a time and space saver. I recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Support team. They can take a closer look at this issue and raise a ticket to our engineering team if necessary.

 

Here's how:
 

  1. Click the (?) Help icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Dashboard.
  2. Select Talk to a Human.
  3. Enter a short description of your concern and press Enter.
  4. Click I still need a human.
  5. Select Contact Us to connect with our live support.
  6. Choose Get a callback.

This adds to my frustration. It used to be when I would type a question into the help screen it would suggest links to possible solutions from the automated assistant. and then offer to contact a human. It no longer has this option. So now that the promotional period has ended the price is double and the service reduced!
