Hi,

I am trying to update the price list from a specific vendor with more than 1000 SKUs.

I have different cost price, list price and % of price increasing. How I can export my price list, update on excel and then upload it again in QB?

Please advise how is the best and quickest way to do price changes.

Tks

Hi there, @HollyNorth2021.

Thanks for visiting the Community today. I'd be glad to walk you through updating your price list.

In QuickBooks, you can update companies with large inventory lists provided by a few vendors using an .IIF from your vendor. You can do this by importing the updated file into your company file to record the changes. However, this will erase the existing fields that you didn't update.

First off, we'll have to use the Add/Edit Multiple List Entries options. You can also copy your data from Excel then paste it into the Add/Edit Multiple List Entries window to expedite the process.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the List menu, then choose Add/Edit Multiple List Entries.
  2. Click the List drop-down arrow, then select the list that you want to update.
  3. Choose in any field and begin making changes, then copy (Ctrl+C) the data from Excel then paste (Ctrl+V) it into the Add/Edit Multiple List Entries window.
  4. To copy the data in a specific field to the remaining records, simply highlight the desired field and right-click then choose Copy Down. If data is in any of those remaining fields, it will be overwritten.
  5. To duplicate a row simply place your cursor in any row, right-click and choose Duplicate Row. The record is duplicated into the next row and is preceded with the word "DUP."
  6. Click Save Changes when you're done.

Here's an article that will help you learn in case you'll need to track where your company stands in terms of expenses and accounts payable: Customize your vendor reports.

I'm always around here if you need help with anything else. Take care!

Tks for asking.

Unfortunately I updated some of SKUs one-by-one. The first reply I got here was telling me to  "Add/Edit Multiple List Entries" but where I can find this option ? Is it under File, Edit, View, List? Please Clarify.

I was hoping to have a easiest way to export the actual price list as csv file, then using Vlook on excel I would adjust the new prices and then upload it on QB desketop.

Please could you tell me any other way?

Good day, @HollyNorth2021.

Let me join the thread and share with you further assistance in updating your price list.

The Add/Edit Multiple List Entries that was mentioned above is under the List menu. You view this screenshot as your reference:

Then, you can now follow the steps that were shared by my colleague katherinejoyceO above. This way, you can export and edit your files. Then, import them again into QuickBooks.

You might also wanna try the importer tool that was given by Fiat Lux - ASIA to ease your process.

If you use QuickBooks Desktop 2019 and later, here’s how to import your lists and transactions with the improved IIF tool.

To know more about IIF import and export limitations, you can check out this article: How to import and export Intuit Interchange Format (IIF) files to and from QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.

Let me know if you need further assistance with this. I'm always around to provide answers and clarifications to your questions. Have a great day ahead and take care.

Me too:

I am trying to update the price list from a specific vendor with more than 1000 SKUs.

I have different cost price, list price and % of price increasing. How I can export my price list, update on excel and then upload it again in QB?

i have exported the item list as an excel document.
saved item and cost on sheet 2

saved item and price on sheet 3

Table named columns A and B COST on sheet 2 and PRICE on sheet 3

i am using the =iferror(vlookup to match list numbers and find new cost and price by item. But the formula is defaulting to the old price and cost.

i need help with formatting or my formula?

thank you
