Quickbooks and ADP Workforce will not sync

Quickbooks and ADP Workforce will not sync.  When I have tried calling Quickbooks and told to install, unistall, use a different browser, then told it's an ADP issue. I call ADP and they say it's a Quickbooks issue. Been on the phone for over 2 hours with each of them.

I have also been by ADP that this sync issue is occurs often.  I just wonder why promote a product and not have dedicated reps that can help resolve the issue.

Wondering if anyone else has been able to resolve and any tips?

This isn't what I want you to experience with QuickBooks, DPICO_125. Let me make it up to you by ensuring this gets resolved.

When integrating QuickBooks Time to ADP Workforce, you'll have to make sure the correct Payroll ID format is entered in the employee's profile. I've added the details below.

Format: CCC: NNNNNN

  • CCC = company code
  • NNNNNN = the employee File ID (including leading zeros)

If you haven't added your employees in QuickBooks Time, please see these steps to learn how:

  1. Go to the My Team menu.
  2. Select Add, then enter the required fields to match ADP.
  3. Once all employees are added, go to Team Member Details to enter the ADP File ID into the Payroll ID field. Please don't forget to add the colon mark (:).

For more details about the integration, you can check out this article: QuickBooks Time and ADP Workforce.

To learn how to track time in the program, I'd suggest browsing these articles:

Additionally, I've included these resources that'll help you review your employees' timesheets before running payroll. This way, you can ensure the approved hours are accurate:

Please come back and keep us posted on your progress in getting this issue resolved. It's our priority to ensure the details sync properly.

Thank you, unfortunately, I am still having issues.

All staff has been added so I don't have issues with that part.

The actual ADP company code is 3 characters, so I entered the company code in format CCC.

I entered each employee # in format 001234- NNNNNN- the number is an example.  When I try to save the number eliminates the first zeros leaving 4-digits. The company code when given to another employee says the company code should not be duplicated.

I also tried the format below CCC: NNNNNN in the payroll ID area in each employee profile.

Thanks for getting back with the Community, DPICO_125.

Since you're having an issue when trying to save employee #s in a specific format, I'd recommend making sure there's no spaces in your employee number.

To verify my understanding, are you exporting time? If so, is it through your Approvals Report or the drop-down menu?

Did you sign up through ADP's website?

I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have an awesome Wednesday!

Thanks. I removed the space so the format is CCC:NNNNNN in the payroll ID.

I was trying to export time through Approvals.

We do have ADP Workforce and I opened the upcoming pay period for processing.  I want to export the approved hours, however, if I tried to export hours now -assuming it worked, would it close the pay period.  The upcoming pay period ends 5.7.2022.

I have been on the phone my entire day - called payroll, QB, workforce, right networks, workforce and no one can help - everyone hangs up on me and everyone blames another department -

"I apologize for the trouble, there is no turn around time for the fix yet. Rest assured we will send an email once there are updates."

"My sincere apologies, as much as we love to, we don't have the same admin access for security purposes."

"My sincere apologies, we don't have access like the admins do. Yes I will need to access them one by one."

"My sincere apologies for the inconvenience, I'll make sure this feedback will be noted and forwarded to our back end team."

"Upon checking here, this is currently a reported issue and our back end team is investigating it."

"I'll make sure your feedback this will be noted and forwarded to our back end team."

All i need help with is that my employees all show "not invited now" on workforce since i did the enterprise gold update :(

This isn't the experience we want you to have, @haklor.

Currently, our engineering team is working on resolving the employees showing not invited in QuickBooks Desktop. Rest assured this issue doesn't impact payroll and Workforce functionalities. Once your employee logs onto their Workforce account, they can still upload pay stubs.

I appreciate the time you've spent contacting our support team. If you haven't added to the list of affected users, I suggest reaching to them again. This way, you'll receive a notification through email once the issue got fixed.

Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks.
  2. Proceed to Help, then choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue.
  5. Select Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect.

You can also share this article with your employee for more insights about accessing their Workforce account: View your paychecks and W-2s in QuickBooks Workforce.

Thank you for your patience while we're working on this. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment below.

honestly ? this is what I have been doing all day - do you really expect for me to do it again?  absolutely not! I have uploaded a portable copy of my company file even for the "team working on the issue" -

I have been "connected" with your team, quickbooks team, workforce team, payroll team, right networks team all day - no one has a solution or work around - other then to say they are aware of the issue.  No one can even provide a list for me of the individuals that are not signed up.  Seems simple enough - Or even one of the ones that ARE signed up?  nope -

Sure it doesn't affect the ones that have signed up...but it sure will affect my business.  I can not hold employees accountable for signing up for the platform -  if I do not know who has signed up and who has not.

I can not re-send the invitation to everyone on the list - because some employees get confused that are already signed up and try to sign up again creating a huge mess with their accounts not opening and making things worse for everyone involved.  Even if I warn them by saying if you receive a notice but are already signed up please dont sign up.

and it's been an issue for over a year - as I have already experienced this issue with Accountants desktop 2019 - over a year ago - and all the chats show it over a years time still unresolved ;( - it's honestly a pretty big deal - especially if this is the only option now for the employees to see their pay stubs.

In the past there was a manager's view so at least I could pull the copy for them if they were unable to - but that is not available any longer - so if they cant get in for some reason or aren't set up etc...they are lost.  :( Simple steps like please call in to describe your issue - does not resolve the problem :( we truly have exhausted that already - by the time we get to this effort to search for other users with the same error :(
