When importing check using IIF File what is the Column Header on the SPL Line for Inventory Site

Our third party vendor needs to find out what the Column Header on the SPL line is for the Inventory Site for use in importing into our QB Enterprise v19.0.  Intuit only helps by giving me a link to a kit that does not contain the information that they need.  Anyone have any help on this?

Unfortunately there is no Inventory Site field included in the IIF file format.  Intuit added the Site concept a decade ago, but hasn't updated the IIF file format to include it.

When importing check using IIF File what is the Column Header on the SPL Line for Inventory Site

Thanks for sharing the details with us, @AFSMark.

I appreciate you for checking our Intuit Interchange Format (IIF) import kit for QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT)

I’d like to get this sorted out and get you back in working order. However, it’ll require me to look into your account which I’m unable to do.

To get around this, I recommend checking with our Support team. There, they can securely check your account and can guide you further on what column header to use on the SPL Line for your Inventory Site.

To reach out to them, you can follow these steps below.

  1. In your QBDT software, go to the Help menu.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief discussion if your issue and select Let’s talk.
  5. Then choose your preferred way to connect with us.

You can also refer to this article for more details: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.

I’m also adding these articles that you can read to learn more about importing IIF in QBDT:

In case you have other concerns or queries, you’re always welcome to leave a reply. I’ll be around to help you. Take care and keep safe.

When importing check using IIF File what is the Column Header on the SPL Line for Inventory Site

Thank you for responding!!! I have already tried the support route and they basically told me that they don't offer this type of assistance with IIF File Import/Export and he forwarded me a link to a kit which didn't help the programmer of our third party software.  As such, I tried this route next to see if anyone might be able to help us.  It seems like just a little thing to get.  Any other thoughts?

Thank you for your response!  I had already tried the QB support route and they basically said they don't help along the lines of IIF File Import/Export and he sent me a link to a kit that evidently did not help our third party programmer in getting the specific information he needed that I mentioned in my original post.  It seems like this shouldn't be a huge thing to ask of Intuit and I must admit my opinion has always been very good but I sure didn't like this response.  Any other thoughts or recommendations?

@AFSMark

Explore a 3rd party migration tool as another option. You may create a scheduler to export/import data automatically if required.

Thank you for your response!  That is what they are needing the information for - it is a third party migration tool to export from their software into our QB Enterprise software.  They need to know what the Column Header is on the SPL Line for the Inventory Site (as I am told, I am not an expert in that area at all).
